I can see :-) | Life at the end of the road
https://lifeattheendoftheroad.wordpress.com/2015/08/09/i-can-see
Life at the end of the road. August 9, 2015. I can see :-). Filed under: daily doings. 8212; Tags: Airtightness testing Skye. 8212; lifeattheendoftheroad @ 10:45 pm. I was extremely confident that Archie Macdonald’s design and Lachie Gillies’ building would have delivered the air tight dwelling we required but as with most things these days you need a certificate to prove it. This will be a very expensive one that goes along with the plumbing, electrical, EPC, water, scaffolding and blah, blah, blah ...

Life at the end of the road. June 30, 2015. Flaming June, “aye right”. 8212; lifeattheendoftheroad @ 9:46 pm. Of course that’s not the whole of it, the ‘black dog of depression’ has been looming over more people than just the residents of South Arnish. The traditional driest and sunniest months of the year here on the West Coast have been ‘pure pish’, everything is a month behind and I can count the days on my fingers that it’s not rained in two months. So much for ‘Flaming June’. The next stage of the t...
A bit wonky :-( | Life at the end of the road

Life at the end of the road. August 7, 2015. A bit wonky :-(. Filed under: daily doings. 8212; Tags: Cornet crafts. 8212; lifeattheendoftheroad @ 9:00 pm. Had I been writing this then the chances are it’d be a bit wonky with atrocious spelling, as it is, on a key board with ‘spell check’ and with a panty liner wedged inside my glasses it may ‘pass muster’. However, ‘your truly’ returned from Lewis with some kind of eye problem and is now not really fit for anything, though it’s not for want of trying.

Life at the end of the road. March 29, 2015. The ‘fifth man’ :-o. Filed under: daily doings. 8212; Tags: Man Overboard. 8212; lifeattheendoftheroad @ 8:04 pm. What a pleasure it was to wake up at a sensible time or at least nearer to the right time for going to work. The 5:00am starts of late just became 6:00am ones, and for that I’m grateful, still a little early for a Sunday right enough but it gave me chance to get a few things done on the way to work. Of course, as is usual for a Sunday, I was late, ...

Life at the end of the road. August 31, 2015. Everyone should have one :-). 8212; lifeattheendoftheroad @ 10:32 pm. One was needing help with an inverter and one was after bread. After depositing son and beetle man on ferry it was back up the road to feed the pigs,. Put another coat of paint on the rear cross member. When Lachie arrived with a pallet of Spanish slates for the ‘Bunker’ I pressed him into rescuing the Quadzilla. I really must get one of these, every croft should have one. August 30, 2015.

TOWN MOUSE IN THE COUNTRY. At Askrigg in Wensleydale. PROBABLY Askrigg’s main claim to fame is that it featured, as the fictional Darrowby, in the 1970s BBC series. All Creatures Great and Small. Askrigg from the south east. View from the river. Slightly less than we paid 130 years later . . . Now that the brake drum is reassembled, I can put the wheel back on,. And the old tyres can pretend to be flower-beds. Perusing the phiz as one does, I noticed a strangeness, or one more than usual. The mirror did not show the top of my head, which it had previously. I know because I use it to see if my hair is standing up in the ‘Emperor Penguin’ style it takes to occasionally. I would be concerned if I lost 2″ in height, but to gain it at 60 something? There are five Sitka Spruce...

Just another WordPress.com site. September 28, 2011. A few lessons I’ve learned…. Your confidence. If you’re confident in what you do and, more importantly, who you are, at least then you will know that you’re doing something right, even if it doesn’t feel that way. Your ego. Now, don’t let that go straight to your head. If you make a mistake, take credit for it. If you do something right, take credit for that too! Take this into consideration. Wish for a lot of things, but you. If you fall down, get bac...

Life at the End of the Line
Life at the End of the Line. Wednesday, November 4, 2015. Fonts, Limitations and Dr. Seuss. I find it disappointing when I see articles titled 10 Fonts You Should Never Use. Every font is useful. Every font has a place where it can shine. Do not limit yourself. Not to dismiss that boundaries can positively affect creativity. Sometimes too many choices can overwhelm us and intimidate us. Life at the end of the road. April 2, 2018. Filed under: Avon Searider. 8212; Tags: Loch Arnish. 8212; lifeattheendoftheroad @ 8:26 pm. Well it’s been a while hey. The memory aint getting any better so I’ll have to consult the camera as to what’s been going on, so here goes. The Arnish ‘fish farm slip’. As you can see, it’s in a bit of a mess and needs to withstand some severe weather. The ‘weather’ (seaward) side was shuttered with local larch from the Raasay Sawmill and then concrete poured in. Life at the End of the Tunnel - Kimberly (Brue) Silva
WANT TO BE NOTIFIED? From new author Kimberly (Brue) Silva, comes a memoir about the last two years of her life - living through a painful, detailed, transformational time of losing her husband to melanoma, to a neutral time of self-discovery, and then finding new love (and blessings from above) in ways that were never imaginable. As she finds her 'new normal', she settles into a new life that she never imagined. This was the latest in an odd year, and the next year would be unbelievable as well. What's ...

Life At Our House
Life At Our House. Sunday, October 13, 2013. Six Months of Insanity. Well, I keep thinking I might as well stop blogging since there's no way to catch up on everything that's happened in the past several months. I finally just decided to grab a bunch of random photos and get something up here. There's a lot missing, but it gives an idea of some of the things we've been up to. Adam happened to be home the morning of the only snow this past winter, so they got to make a snowman. Or they could be astronauts.
