I drove into Houston on the 11th with plans to stay until Thursday just to help them out at home after the surgery. Friday, January 31, 2014. I started the year in San Diego for a week of work. Highlight of the trip: getting to spend one evening with the Lin family. We ate at Underbelly, a hip Pho restaurant. Does this picture say Campbell all over it? The girl can hold her own on the court too! These Doves don't cry. Campbell and her friends are having a great time on the court. Uh, hello Pistons. What is so exciting up there? So far, Alex and his team are 4-0. Company man. Playing the part in a contest!

Monday, December 23, 2013. I love having my children right beside me and having them reach to hold my hand. 2 of three children learned to blow bubbles with gum during our trip. Paying a little more for a hotel on the monorail, and then getting the free dining plan was a.w.e.s.o.m.e! A week without t.v. and minimal screens is good for the soul. I believe the kids learned more with us this week than they would have in school. Impressing a 10 year old is very difficult. It's good to go and good to come home.

This time Alex took the express car ride with grandma and grandpa to Houston. We missed him a lot, but it was also nice to be with our girls. We ate at our favorite place, Mulates. We also walked the market both Friday and Saturday and ate Cafe DuMonde. We swam briefly in the hotel pool and just relaxed. Posted by Kate in Austin.

Sunday, May 26, 2013. Conleigh has finished her volleyball season. She really enjoyed it. The camaraderie of the team was fun to watch and I believe all the high 5's were. Part of the reason she had so much fun. The Blue Aces won some and lost some. Yesterday they won three straight matches to progress to the next level of the tournament. Then they won two matches but lost the next three, so our morning was done at 10:30. In 3D Eh. The kids liked it and the theatre was cool. Posted by Kate in Austin.
