So much to do, so little time. What I’m Reading. What I’m Reading. Yep, this page is out of date. Check back soon… I finished “Under the Dome” and another book or two. This is his latest. It is massive. It started out pretty gruesome, and has slowed down a bit in the first 200 pages. Really, how many people can he kill off before they start looking for answers? Okay, I have finished. 48 Days to the Work You Love. Dan Miller’s books and podcasts are new staples in my library and on my iPod. You are commen...

So much to do, so little time. What I’m Reading. As I am nearing the completion of my PhD at Purdue University, I find that I am in need of something new to do. I have been working through Dan Miller’s. 48 Days to the Work You Love. And No More Mondays. To learn some more about myself, what I want to do when I grow up, and how to make that happen. To that end, Miller Mondays! On Mondays, I go through a section of the book, and talk about the processes and some of what I have learned. Is all change good?

So much to do, so little time. What I’m Reading. October 9, 2011 at 3:44 pm. I was wondering how much juice was squeezed from the half acre of sorghum? October 10, 2011 at 9:29 am. We got a little over 300 gallons of fluid from the half acre of sweet sorghum stalks. This was boiled down to around 30 gallons of sorghum syrup. The amount of fluid and the amount of syrup will vary from year to year based on the moisture and sugar contents of the sweet sorghum stalks. Leave a Reply Cancel reply. Are you look...

Oatmeal Bread | Alarm Clock Wars
https://alarmclockwars.wordpress.com/2011/09/22/oatmeal-bread
So much to do, so little time. What I’m Reading. I just love baking bread. I used to use my bread machine about once a week, but it’s been put away for over two years now. I decided this was the perfect opportunity to pull it out of hiding! I found this oatmeal bread recipe in Better Homes and Gardens’ Bread Machine Recipes, and I thought it sounded like just the perfect thing for the fall weather we are having here! I made a 1-1/2 pound loaf. (Though I am wishing I had made a 2 pound loaf! I loaded ever...

NOW I feel like a farmwife! | Alarm Clock Wars
https://alarmclockwars.wordpress.com/2011/09/16/now-i-feel-like-a-farmwife
So much to do, so little time. What I’m Reading. NOW I feel like a farmwife! I’ve been a farmwife for two years. But I’ve been driving this. And it’s just hard to feel like a farmwife when you’re driving an Altima named Chip. Don’t get me wrong. That car has surely done it’s duty. I bought it in 2002 with 18,0000 miles, and now it has 165,000 miles. It has gone the distance, and been very loyal. But it was time for an upgrade. And now I drive this. This week we bought a Ford Expedition! This entry was po...

It’s all been the same content, just on two different platforms. But you won’t be able to follow it through WordPress subscriptions anymore. You can ...

Taste of Indiana Farms | Alarm Clock Wars
https://alarmclockwars.wordpress.com/2011/10/06/taste-of-indiana-farms
So much to do, so little time. What I’m Reading. Taste of Indiana Farms. One of the fun things I got to do at the Indiana State Fair. In August was to run the Farm Bureau. Taste of Indiana Farms booth for the southwest part of Indiana. Each part of the state ( districts, in Farm Bureau talk) had a commodity to feature. We had pork. Yum! I worked with Dewig’s Meats. There was free popcorn in the front of the building, and lots more free food in the back of the building. Did I mention that Indiana Pork.
