Lid and The Kids: July 2011
http://lidandthekids.blogspot.com/2011_07_01_archive.html
Lid and The Kids. Tuesday, July 26, 2011. 5 weeks ago you turned 2! This is what happens when you're the second born. It takes mom 5 weeks to finally blog about your birthday. Sorry, but I still love you! In the past 6 months or so, you have truly been teaching me what a strong-willed child looks like. I always thought Garrett was my strong-willed child, but apparently he's pretty passive and compliant. Who knew. You LOVE Garrett and want to be doing anything and everything he is doing (when you're not t...

Lid and The Kids: A Night in the Life of Mom
http://lidandthekids.blogspot.com/2012/02/night-in-life-of-mom.html
Lid and The Kids. Thursday, February 2, 2012. A Night in the Life of Mom. I know I've read blogs (and maybe even written one) about the daily happening of moms or families, so I thought I would do one on a night in my life. Last night pretty much just wrote itself. 7:45pm: Put the boys to bed after the usual bedtime routine. Clean up the kitchen from supper and make lunches for the boys (Garrett and Keith) for the next day. It's not quite ready. (But he did lose his first one on Monday! 9:30pm: Head to b...

Lid and The Kids: Random Money Saving Tips
http://lidandthekids.blogspot.com/2011/11/random-money-saving-tips.html
Lid and The Kids. Tuesday, November 29, 2011. Random Money Saving Tips. I am far, far removed from being an expert on saving money. However, I am married to a CPA who knows how to save a buck and work a budget like nobody's business. And having been married to him for almost 10 years now, I've learned a few things along the way. Nope, but we don't have a couple thousand dollars lying around to buy new, so we'll make do until that day comes. Just food for thought. I completely agree on the phone issue....

Lid and The Kids: Update
http://lidandthekids.blogspot.com/2012/01/update.html
Lid and The Kids. Friday, January 13, 2012. Since it's been almost 2 weeks since my last post, I thought I would do an update on all the new things going on this year. 8226;Pottytraining has really gone smoothly. At first we had a few issues and a few accidents, but as of the past 5 days or so, Cooper hasn't had any accidents and he's even started taking himself to the bathroom, which is a bonus! A girl can dream anyway. Subscribe to: Post Comments (Atom). View my complete profile. JB and The Boys.

Write the Vision: Meet... My Father
http://christiecox.blogspot.com/2011/06/meet-my-father.html
Sunday, June 19, 2011. What better way to start off this blog series than with the most influential man in my life, Mark Cox. And on the most appropriate day of the year: Father's Day. Who is this man? Not sure if it ever actually worked but I liked to think it did. When so many of my friends are without fathers or with lousy fathers who don't take their role seriously, why would I ever push away one of the greatest father figures this world could contain? And not to reject. That was insightful and revea...

Write the Vision: March 2011
http://christiecox.blogspot.com/2011_03_01_archive.html
Wednesday, March 23, 2011. I'm really afraid this post will not even come close to conveying what actually happened during my spring break this year, but I hope somehow my words can formulate a little of all that was experienced. There was a reason for why God chose to invade our spring break like He did. I don't want it to be in vain and even when the emotion and feeling has died away I want to continue cultivating a deeper relationship with Christ and also with the incredible friends He has blessed...

Write the Vision: April 2013
http://christiecox.blogspot.com/2013_04_01_archive.html
Thursday, April 18, 2013. Fear, Love, and Forsakenness. The lesson was a continuation from a two-part lesson on "What does it mean to love? The first part was an overview of 1 Corinthians 13- the infamous passage on love. I had so many amazing discoveries in that as well. But this one was a little different. After a few verses in 1 John 3 we moved on to 1 John 4:18-19:. The original Greek word for "casts out". For fear has to do with punishment.". Fear is directly related to the absence of God in our liv...

Write the Vision: August 2009
http://christiecox.blogspot.com/2009_08_01_archive.html
Saturday, August 1, 2009. If you are a typical human being, you will experience at least several monumental moments over the course of your life. The first day of school. Learning to ride a bike. Graduating High School. Getting married. Having a baby. These are what we would call milestones. Every person has them, big or small, public or private. This is what we tell ourselves, and even if we never consciously think those thoughts, society has us believing that if anyone ever knew we went to counseling, ...
