Be careful what you wish for…you might get whiplash. The Dire Straits of Swarthmore. October 30, 2008. I am so frustrated. I AM IN SO OVER MY HEAD! Absolutely not. Not even. But that’s okay, because I’m in an adjustment phase. But the bottom line is…I do belong here. I feel it when concepts finally click for me, I feel it when I’m discussing politics with my friends…I belong here. I got in, I passed the swim test, and I will be. If I’m going to drown now. Be careful what you wish for…you might get whiplash. July 18, 2009. Time for a quick summer update, since it is 5 am and I can’t fall back to sleep. June 23 – Went with former roommate Ashley to Vancouver to see DT. Was recognized by the singer at the bar, then talked the band into giving me a ride back to Seattle. Ended up spending two days hanging out with Chris, the band’s bass player, who was an English/Music major at Providence College. And I have a feeling that 2009 is only going to get better.

Be careful what you wish for…you might get whiplash. July 28, 2008. These last two days have been hugely wonderful. Yes, mainly because of the George Michael concert. However, I have also had the opportunity to talk to some of my soon-to-be classmates. The overall message has been the same, that Swat is an awesome place, and I don’t need to be so stressed. It was just so nice to finally get to talk to some of the people I’ll be spending years around. One of the three I talked to, Dina. July 27, 2008.

Be careful what you wish for…you might get whiplash. May 16, 2009. Remember when I was moving to Swat in a few hours, and hadn’t packed? Well, my parents are picking me up from Swat in an hour, and I haven’t packed. Oops. I guess it’s become a pattern of behavior. Oh well. I am officially finished with my first year at Swarthmore! It’s been real,. 8220;The End.”. May 17, 2009 at 8:05 am. Glad to hear your year ended well. I found out yesterday that I got in! Clara (claralucia from the CC message board).

Be careful what you wish for…you might get whiplash. June 19, 2009. Hello all…I’ve been taking a much needed break from all things Swarthmore, and hope you have been too. Haven’t received any emails from admissions as of yet, so I’m going to assume that you poor waitlisters haven’t all heard back. That’s rough, and I feel for you. To take your mind off of it, let me give you an update on my life since Swat:. 1) I moved to Seattle for a canvassing job. About The Transfer Student.

Be careful what you wish for…you might get whiplash. The Good With the Bad. November 26, 2008. The good news is, it’s Thanksgiving break and I’m home. The bad news is, there are only a few very selective parts of home that I enjoy. The good news is, the paper I slaved over until 6 am yesterday morning is handed in, and out of my hands. The bad news is, the paper I slaved over until 6 am yesterday morning is handed in, out of my hands, and will soon be ripped to shreds. I know I am. November 24, 2008.

Be careful what you wish for…you might get whiplash. The First Three Days. August 30, 2008. Well, I just finished my first FOUR orientation days at Swat! I’ve had to change that from “first day” to “first three days” to “four days” because it’s taken me so long to get an entry written! We went to Willets first so I could unload all my stuff. As soon as I got out of the car, I heard someone say my name, and it was Charlotte. Who I had also “met” on Facebook. After getting my student ID car...Were really g...

Be careful what you wish for…you might get whiplash. February 26, 2009. That’s right. You read correctly. We’re here, we’re myster…ious, and we are about to multiply like rabbits. In a strictly numbers-based way, of course. Swarthmore has just announced that it is going to enroll 27 transfers in fall 2009. Not admit, mind you, ENROLL. That means that they are probably going to admit at least 40. And let me tell you…I cannot wait. Suit up, transfers. This is our time. February 25, 2009. My new roommate An...
