The students wrote about themselves, then they spent half an hour taking pictures and enjoying being outside. What I like about myself is funny! Hop on one foot. My smile - because it shows that I'm nice.". I am good at basketball - shooting 3-pointers. I like hanging out with my friends. I have a girlfriend that likes me.". I like my hair and my feet". Wednesday, June 23, 2010. Philippe Halsman and photographs of verbs. Photo class students have started summer session! The first week we learned about photographer Philippe Halsman. Halsman thought that "When you ask a person to jump, his attention is mostly directed toward the act of jumping and the mask falls so that the real person appears." The youth photographed jumps, whispers, runs and all kinds of verbs. Congratulations to Micala who counted almost 50 verbs in the class's images!
