My Life in a Mega-Church | literary lew

https://literarylew.wordpress.com/2015/06/12/my-life-in-a-mega-church

My Life in a Mega-Church. I spent two years as a member of a mega-church in the early eighties, a Baptist Church in Springdale, Arkansas. I was so proud of myself, so pleased to be a member of a church that was so up-and-coming and growing larger and larger and larger. And the pastor was very good. And I mean very, very good; even today I appreciate memories of his skill as an expositor of scripture. This entry was posted in Arkansas. June 12, 2015. 8220;You Spot It, You Got It”. 8220;The World is My Oyster” (Not). I hardly know where to start. This Donald Trump demon that has been unleashed on the American psyche has tripped all of my triggers too and literarylew has more offenses at my beck than thoughts to put them in. So I’m reaching into my stuffed beck and pulling out, The world is not my oyster. This entry was posted in 2016 Presidential Election. And tagged Arkansas redneck. August 14, 2016. Literary Lesbians

Saturday, May 16, 2009. APRIL: The Red Thread by Nicholas Jose. Book group this month was a pretty quiet affair. Sam, Ange, Sonya, Marg and Jude had dinner at The Tenth Muse in Fitzroy. We tried to talk about the book, but conversation soon turned to more interesting topics! First important discovery was that not all editions of the book had the extracts from the ancient text in red print. Sonya thought the lesbian content was negligible and not very good.
