https://awriterseyry.wordpress.com/2011/05/07/weekends

In any case, the question that I asked (and shook up my nerves, especially when it has been a long time since I had done any sort of presentation or speaking in public) was:. On the way out, probably will read it in camp. So that’s it for now. Sky, sea, blueness.

A Writer's Eyry. A would-be Singaporean novelist's blog. Christopher Tin – Baba Yetu. Theme from Civ 4. And even though it’s for a game, the music communicates that breadth and depth of human experience that makes it so wonderful.I particularly like the animation sequences for the Wonders, and how those monuments are depicted as a living process and part of history. For those curious, it’s the Lord’s Prayer in Swahili. There’s also a video of it at the Dubai Fountain. Too Worth a watch. Sky, sea, blueness.

Hard truths, indeed | A Writer's Eyry
https://awriterseyry.wordpress.com/2011/01/14/hard-truths-indeed
A Writer's Eyry. A would-be Singaporean novelist's blog. Hard truths, indeed. Rare insights into the mind of MM Lee. One distinctive feature is its extensive use of the question-and-answer format, which the authors hope will engage younger readers and capture unvarnished the robust exchanges between Mr Lee and his interviewers. THE DANGER OF THE LIBERAL YOUNG. REALITY IS HARD. LIKE A BOOT STAMPING ON THE HUMAN FACE- FOREVER. And MM Lee shares views of S’pore’s future in new book. Okay, I’ll shut up...

https://awriterseyry.wordpress.com/2011/03/04/books-in-the-bush
A Writer's Eyry. A would-be Singaporean novelist's blog. Books in the bush. It’s been a busy week, with three days outfield. Spent a day reading. In the back of an M113 in a grassy field amidst the distant sputter of gunfire, to the good effect of finishing 400 pages that I never would have gotten past on a less boring and productive day. The ending was worth it, however. I’ve also been reading. Next on the list:. This entry was posted on March 4, 2011 by Jaraix. It was filed under books. Books in the bu...

https://awriterseyry.wordpress.com/2011/03/31/the-really-occasional-update
A Writer's Eyry. A would-be Singaporean novelist's blog. The really occasional update. Books I’ve read recently:. 8211; Kazuo Ishiguro’s. An Artist of the Floating World. I quite like his style and treatment of narrative, so I’ll be reading more of his works soon. 8211; J. D. Salinger’s. A Catcher in the Rye. It has been a while since I last read some of them, and on doing so, the initial shine seems to fade off some of the works. A Catcher in the Rye. An Artist in the Floating World. Feel the need to head to Orchard Road to flex my credit card, but I do try to avoid the area at the most crowded times - mid-morning to late afternoon on the weekends. I also like to support the burgeoning scene of quality independent retailers offering a little break from the norm:. Boutiques at Fort Canning. This ...
