So, I'm moving to California in 4 days. 4 days! This year, for 2014, my new word is "trust.". But now that it's 2014 {happy New Year, by the way! So here's to you, 2014. You good looking year, you! I have a feeling that you're going to rock. While 2013 does hold some special memories, I'm glad that it's over. And I'm excited to see what's in store for all of us this year. It's amazing how fast it came and went, isn't it? I had a beautiful Christmas, did you? On Christmas Eve we were able to Skype with Devin in Tokyo. It was so much fun to hear his voice and see his face! We Skyped using an Xbox, so we could watch on a big screen TV. Isn't technology great? I'm grateful for big brothers who know how to do that kind of thing, because I'm clueless. Look how happy Elder J. looks! He spoke some Japanese for us and man. What a crazy language. Let's have a great 2014, shall we?

I know a girl who, instead of making resolutions each year, picks a word to focus on instead. While I'm still going to work on my resolutions. Because come on. Who doesn't. Want to learn how to play the ukulele? That idea really sparked something in me. So yesterday, I spent all day thinking of a word I want to make my own for 2013. And I found one. We had such a blast at the concert! Sadly, I don't have a picture of all of us. Thank you Raelene and Lyle! Friday, September 5, 2014. Our labor day weekend. We had such a wonderful Labor Day weekend this year! I love being able to share one of my favorite vacation places with Jeff. It's always beautiful walking around the pond.

We are thrilled that I have made it this far (considering the scare I had at 34 weeks with low amniotic fluid), and are very grateful that Christmas is over. Our Life and Learning. Wednesday, February 14, 2018. The Big Move 2018. Here I am, two weeks before our move. My mind is busy with getting ready to go from 1400 square feet to 400 square feet. We’ve filled countless large blue bins with heaps of things we feel we are not ready to let go of. But, we have hauled away truckloads to the dump, and to local thrift stores. We’ve given away piles of things we once thought we couldn’t live without. This is no easy road! But, we wanted to do more than just skate by.
