This 28mm Life: December 2013
http://this28mmlife.blogspot.com/2013_12_01_archive.html
Sunday, 15 December 2013. Well, here comes another contentious figure. This time it's the Eternal Champion Hawkmoon. I thought I'd have a try at sculpting our hero just to see what came up. I did this without any reference material or any design concept in mind. I just designed it as I went along. The only real thoughts I had were to make him lightly armoured in a fancy sort of way. Anyway, here's our hero:. Friday, 13 December 2013. Granbretan Order of the Bull and The Boar. With this one I'm taking mor...

This 28mm Life: More Regiments
http://this28mmlife.blogspot.com/2014/04/more-regiments.html
Friday, 25 April 2014. I've been taking things slowly and painting a few more Napoleonic regiments. I'm unsure what rules to use but at this stage General d'Brigade is looking like the most likely contender. I'm also unsure what army I'm making! I've traditionally played French and Prussian so I started on French and Wurttembergers. I then thought: "Why not try British? All in all, what have I achieved? Here are some photo's:. 26 April 2014 at 05:16. Bloody hell, Ian! I never thought Id see the day!

Faithful English Blood
http://wfeb.blogspot.com/2014/11/i-like-uncertainty-in-my-table-top.html
Concerning my "house rules" for early ECW tabletop battles in England. Thursday, November 6, 2014. I like uncertainty in my table top wargaming, therefor it should be no surprise that I will incorporate a number of "fog of war" aspects into "Faithful English Blood" . . . particularly since there are a great many ECW encounters where the stronger force was severely whipped by an apparently weaker foe. I really enjoyed the use of "action cards" and not knowing what would happen next.

Thursday, 25 December 2014. So I managed to finish my version of The Argo on Christmas day. I'm pretty happy with the results although I found painting freehand straight lines on an unusually shaped curved surface to be quite difficult. So the lines are a bit dubious in some places. I'm not sure if I'll include Heracles at this stage. Medea and Orpheus are there as spell casters. For accompanying the rest of the Away Team. The only one to be named will be Typhus the navigator. Anyway, here's the photos:.

Faithful English Blood: Source of Name for my Rules
http://wfeb.blogspot.com/2013/08/name-for-rules.html
Concerning my "house rules" for early ECW tabletop battles in England. Saturday, August 24, 2013. Source of Name for my Rules. I'm not completely happy with any of the rule sets for the ECW that I've read . . . so I think that I am going to write my own. And at least I've decided upon a name for my own version of ECW miniature rules . . . and I've taken a clue from Larry Brom's "The Sword and the Flame". Colonial rules by plucking a phrase from a famous English author. To scarlet indignation , and be-dew.

This 28mm Life: November 2013
http://this28mmlife.blogspot.com/2013_11_01_archive.html
Monday, 25 November 2013. Well I've been continuing to make vulture warriors and I've finished five so far and they are now at Eureka ready to be cast. I forgot to take a pic of the last one I finished (a Standard Bearer) but I do have some pics of the other most recent ones. And here they are: Two Handed Sword and Flame-lance. Monday, 18 November 2013. Friday, 15 November 2013. Here come the Granbretanians! Look out Hawkmoon here come the Granbretanian beastmen. My concept of the figures will be along t...

This 28mm Life: January 2014
http://this28mmlife.blogspot.com/2014_01_01_archive.html
Monday, 20 January 2014. I've continues to slog away at the Runestaff figures (even during our recent heatwave). I managed to finish a few more of the Vulture Legion including the first cavalry figure and a musician. The thinking behind the cavalry is this: The Vultures legion is made up of Muskovite mercenaries so what better than a cossack style. Looking at the other beast orders this give us a chance to make a light cavalry element. But that wouldn't have worked. So I settled on a gong. Webstore. ...
