in my playroom: I'm Following a Tree | August 2015
http://in-my-playroom.blogspot.com/2015/08/im-following-tree-august-2015.html
Things . 101 and 52. Friday, 7 August 2015. I'm Following a Tree August 2015. It's time for the August visit to see how my tree is getting on. I wasn't expecting any significant changes from last month and that's exactly what I found! The female catkins are continuing to swell in size and the tree is covered in them. The majority of them are green . Strangely, there appears to still be a few tiny male catkins remaining. Some of the leaves are providing nourishment for visitors to the tree. The bark is go...

Yesterday I took another coach trip, this time up to London with the aim of collecting another set of photos for the Summertime Photography Scavenger Hunt. I'm happy to report that it was a successful trip and I have the photos ready to show you now, but to make it more interesting for you I've included a couple of photos where you can play 'Where's Wally'. First up is this line of portaloos . And from...

in my playroom: Sending a Message with a Tussie Mussie
http://in-my-playroom.blogspot.com/2015/08/sending-message-with-tussie-mussie.html
Things . 101 and 52. Thursday, 6 August 2015. Sending a Message with a Tussie Mussie. Today's outing was lunch with two friends at the Glove Factory in Holt, and then an afternoon visit to the Courts Garden, a National Trust property, where we had the opportunity to learn about the language of flowers and then to make a tussie mussie (a small posy) for a friend. The event was geared towards children, but we did it anyway! These are our attempts! 6 August 2015 at 21:49. 6 August 2015 at 21:58. 7 August 20...

A Hidden Jem: a quiet month
http://jemsdays.blogspot.com/2016/11/a-quiet-month.html
Friday, 18 November 2016. We've had a gentle couple of weeks. Germs have reared their ugly heads once again, so we've suffered some restless nights. Lily has had a horrible cough which has gone on for several weeks now, that thankfully seems to be easing off at last. I have been working on my crochet when time allows and I am also knitting some socks. I think this is the first time I have ever had two projects on the go at the same time. 18 November 2016 at 13:41. 23 November 2016 at 11:25. Aww, thank yo...

in my playroom: Orchids
http://in-my-playroom.blogspot.com/2015/08/orchids.html
Things . 101 and 52. Thursday, 13 August 2015. Yesterday, I met with a friend for lunch at Lowden Garden Centre. These frequent lunches with various friends could well be the reason the diet isn't working, but that's something to puzzle my brain about on another day! The creamy coloured one will eventually make its home in the front room, once I've had a bit of a change round, but for now it will keep the other one company in the dining room. That's assuming I manage to keep them alive! Love the cream co...

Caravan Crafts : April 2014
http://caravancrafts.blogspot.com/2014_04_01_archive.html
Sunday, 27 April 2014. This week has been back to the normal working routine, which is always a shock. Memories of delicious Easter holidays are just that. Memories. Well that and slightly chunky, squishy hips! As I said a while ago, I need to prioritise my running training over my crochet addiction until after June1st. Need to do 10k's today. However I have been squeezing in little hookie bits and bobs and a few other quick fixes. Loving playing with the greens, another minor obsession of mine.green.

Jak's Tales: Julie's Advent Calendar for 2016
https://bctblackjak.blogspot.com/2016/12/julies-advent-calendar-for-2016_20.html
Tuesday, 20 December 2016. Julie's Advent Calendar for 2016. 20th December, 2016. Was wandering around B&M in Skipton and saw this in the pets section - you know the part where you are supposed to buy toys and treats for your pets who most probably would rather have a juicy bone. I could not resist taking a picture as our son's lab Jess looks very like the dog in the picture. The three 'granddogs' in our family just may wear the scarf for a short while but the beanie would be off in a trice! Julies Adven...

Jak's Tales: Julie's Advent Calendar for 2016
https://bctblackjak.blogspot.com/2016/12/julies-advent-calendar-for-2016_9.html
Friday, 9 December 2016. Julie's Advent Calendar for 2016. 9th December, 2016. Here is another picture of an old bauble though we have only had it for about 10 years as we found it in a second hand shop. Even though it is not as old as it looks with its Victorian style pictures, it is still one of my favourites. 9 December 2016 at 07:56. I love these sort of baubles, I have a few of them. 9 December 2016 at 09:42. I love the Victorian style baubles. Wonder where it hung before you got it? Julies Advent C...
