Fashionably Late

Thursday, December 15, 2011. Reduced Fat Decadent, Fudgy, and Rich Chocolate Brownies. I don't know about you all, but I am a MAJOR chocolate addict. I could eat chocolate at any time of the day, in any form, from dark chocolate to white chocolate. I've even been known to eat cocoa powder by the spoonful. Yeah, I know- gross, huh? I told you I love chocolate! I wish I could eat chocolate by the pound, but my hips would disagree! I used Ghirardelli unsweetened cocoa powder. 1/2 cup unsweetened cocoa powder.

Fashionably Late: Weight Progress...

http://www.livinglifefashionablylate.blogspot.com/2010/07/weight-progress.html

Monday, July 19, 2010. It's been awhile since I've updated about my weight journey. I have 8 pounds to go until I reach my pre-pregnancy weight! Another difficult part of the journey has been holidays and gatherings with foods I don't want/need to eat. I did great on the 4th of July because I brought a low-fat, sugar free strawberry pie and ate tons of veggies and grilled chicken. I actually lost 1.5 pounds that following week! Even then, I know I indulged in foods that would frighten Jillian Michaels!

Fashionably Late: June 2010

http://www.livinglifefashionablylate.blogspot.com/2010_06_01_archive.html

Wednesday, June 9, 2010. Me and my pasty pale skin :). Friday, June 4, 2010. This next photo is my progress so far after having Emma. The first picture was taken 2 weeks postpartum, the next 4 weeks, 6 weeks, and 9 weeks. It's been a hard journey, but I know I will get back to my goal weight and all this hard work will be so worth it! Subscribe to: Posts (Atom). This is my attempt to put that into print.

I love baking, cooking, staying home with my (almost 2 year old daughter), DIY crafts, home decorating, and being a wife to the best husband and father there is! This is my attempt to put that into print.

Fashionably Late: May 2010

http://www.livinglifefashionablylate.blogspot.com/2010_05_01_archive.html

Saturday, May 29, 2010. I created this blog to write about my life, my worries, my aspirations (I have yet to determine those) and my loves. I am a new mother and a fairly new wife. Life has happened so quickly in the past few years and maybe it will be nice to take some time to write some of these moments down. Subscribe to: Posts (Atom). This is my attempt to put that into print.

There are some events in life where divine intervention cannot be overlooked. With what happens next, you just can't help but tip your hat to the man upstairs. Fast forward nearly eight years. Happy birthday to one of my very best friends, my soul sister and partner in crime- Remy, Remalicious, Remalaude, Remington- you are inspiring, supportive, the best critic and such a blessing! I'm so glad you didn't forward your mail in 2006. Posted by Abbi Flo. Subscribe to: Post Comments (Atom).

Attempted Domestication: November 2012

http://attempteddomestication.blogspot.com/2012_11_01_archive.html

The Eve of Election Day. Well folks, tomorrow is finally. November 6. For half the country tomorrow will end in triumph celebration and the other half defeat. Literally. With polling so close and a different winner predicted by every other pundit there is not clear winner in tomorrow’s Presidential Election. One thing is for certain—tomorrow is going to be exciting. Each state’s return will be something to talk about, scrutinize and tally in the race to 270. Who will carry more balloons?

Attempted Domestication: June 2014

http://attempteddomestication.blogspot.com/2014_06_01_archive.html

Greetings from the Moon. Two weeks into my 29. Here is quick catch up of my life post crash land on the moon. The day we closed on our house, my baby brother and his wife gave me a beautiful little niece! Well, they didn’t actually give. It’s crazy to think that my brother is someone’s father. Who okayed that situation? God, have you been drinking again? Let’s see…what else? So quick recap of life post DC: House, niece, job, cancer cure. We got what we came for; I guess it’s time to go home!

PS Jimmy John's is coming to the District! The throw-back to boarding school days sandwich shop is coming to DC. And not only that but, just around the corner from my office! I snapped this photos as proof that God loves me and wants me to be happy. Posted by Abbi Flo. Anyway, opting out of a Five Dollar Footlong, a co-worker and I trekked up to Dupont Circle to try Chipotle's Asian themed spin-off restaurant, ShopHouse. One of the bowls. Over all, I give it four out of five stars, knocking one off becau...

Attempted Domestication: March 2014

http://attempteddomestication.blogspot.com/2014_03_01_archive.html

If you haven't spent any time at the Peoria Cancer Center, you may imagine a place filled with the sadness of disease and a sense of hospital starkness. Before my grandpa's experience with cancer, my imagination wandered to the scenes on Parenthood and Christine's fight against Breast Cancer- steril rooms and utilitarian furniture serving people who were living on prayer. Unusually busy, the seats in the waiting room buzzed with upbeat conversation, distracting us from the anxiousness pulsing in the back...

Attempted Domestication: January 2014

http://attempteddomestication.blogspot.com/2014_01_01_archive.html

New, old and mostly cold. Well, the wind has blown us westward, caught in a polar vortex. Needing a change that no vacation would remedy, Dusty and I moved back to our old stomping grounds-ish and we have found ourselves digging a new path in the snow covered blacktops of Central Illinois, building from our life together in the 202. This whole attempt at domestication is about to get real. Thus far into our adventure,. In not so many words, I’m not loving the weather in which I have landed.

Attempted Domestication: Update from the middle coast.

http://attempteddomestication.blogspot.com/2014/02/update-from-middle-coast.html

Update from the middle coast. Jackson's stylish new scarf. I’m nearing the two month mark as a recycled Midwesterner and can say I’m adjusting. Though perhaps not with great speed or ease, I’m getting there. In the past 58 days, I have discovered pros and cons to rural living, began to understand that FaceTime is gift from God, and found that under almost all circumstances I despise the concept of drive through dining. This is a real life burger. No kidding. Also, oh ALSO! I am learning how to crochet!

LiViNg LiFe EyEs WiDe OpEn

LiViNg LiFe EyEs WiDe OpEn. Thursday, October 2, 2014. I have learned (slowly) that every age is a stage. I have learned that some stages you really want to rush through. The witching hour was one stage I wanted to run away from. Since then things have been swell, until now. Until personality develops, until choices start being made, until language blooms and explodes, and until my child has his own mind. The thought of mommy helping big boy do what was asked gets him! Maybe he does have it figured out m...
