Living with the Bakers

Monday, July 20, 2015. My sweet baby boy turned ONE! As soon as he woke up, we first ran through the streamers over his door- with an excited face like running through the sprinklers- and then explored the decorated entryway, kitchen, and living room. And then onto presents! So many fun presents, but he had to have a bite of banana between each one. And then the best gift of all was the handmade crocheted sweater my sister Alivia made him. Read more about it on her blog. Then we went on our Sunday walk.

Living with the Bakers: May 2014

http://www.livingwiththebakers.blogspot.com/2014_05_01_archive.html

Wednesday, May 28, 2014. My All-American Javelin Thrower and Road-tripping to Regionals. Blaine threw the Javelin on the Track and Field team while he went to BYU. In fact, we met as a result of him being on the team and me working in the Athletic Department. But we'll save that story for another day. Yes, that is not a javelin. During his sophomore season he also threw the shot put a couple of times just for fun and to help the team earn points.). Who was a Mountain West Conference Champion. With his br...

Living with the Bakers: March 2015

Wednesday, March 18, 2015. With the nice spring weather settling in, we decided to take Easton to the zoo for the first time! However, I've recently discovered I'm almost too sensitive to go to the zoo because all animals remind me of Jake and I feel like they're all depressed and want to be home in the wild with their families. but anyways). Grizzly bear - looks like theres no glass between them, but there is ;). Look at the sweet little baby elephant! Hahahaha our enthusiasm is overwhelming. Since this...

Living with the Bakers: October 2014

http://www.livingwiththebakers.blogspot.com/2014_10_01_archive.html

Wednesday, October 29, 2014. Fall Festivities: Storybook Forest and Trunk or Treat. On Saturday night we took Easton to Storybook Forest out at the lake. We met a couple other families from our ward there and walked through the forest filled with Rapunzel, the 3 little pigs, little red riding hood, and other storybook settings and characters. My favorite part was going on the hayride by the lake at sunset. The parents were free but we had to pay for Easton, so we made him hold his own ticket! We're all r...

Living with the Bakers: December 2014

http://www.livingwiththebakers.blogspot.com/2014_12_01_archive.html

Wednesday, December 17, 2014. Meeting Santa for the First Time. Easton and I met Blaine downtown at Bass Pro Shop one day last week after Blaine's school to take his first picture with Santa. It was a pretty sweet deal because it was all free and there was hardly anyone there at the time we went. HAHAHA Look at Easton's eyes. I HATE fish. They creep me out. Looks like I passed that on. Speaking of Christmas,. I've been reading tutorials online and practicing using my camera and learning all it can do.

The I in Creativity. Follow me through the wonderful world of crafts, hair, and design. Thursday, July 16, 2015. Today I will teach you to make this adorable baby sweater! I made mine for my nephew's first birthday! Before we begin, you'll need a 12 peg round knitting loom (3.5in diameter), a 36 peg round knitting loom (9.5in diameter), a loom hook, a yarn needle, a skein (the long oval shaped ball) of yarn in any color (try to get a soft one. I used the red heart brand), scissors, and a ruler. If they a...

The I in Creativity. Follow me through the wonderful world of crafts, hair, and design. Monday, September 22, 2014. Has a golden retriever puppy named Jake, and he will be one year old this month. To start, you'll need two balls of yarn (one for the leg warmers and one for the letters), a small 10.5 inch crochet loom, loom hook, and yarn needle. I bought all of this at Joann's Fabrics. For the lettering, if you alre...

Living With The Apocalypse | The world ended a while ago, we just didn't notice

Living With The Apocalypse. The world ended a while ago, we just didn't notice. Posted by Dan Meadows. On June 18, 2013. So, apparently, those tin foil hat crazies who’ve been spouting off on random street corners for years that the government knows everything about everybody were right all along. Not sure about you, but I don’t much like the idea of a world where, in retrospect, the Lone Gunmen from the X Files look more like prudent planning than portraits of overly paranoid whackos. Every recording of...

The Bahr Chronicles

We started this blog as a way to keep our long distance family and friends informed. It has turned out to be a great way to share kodak moments. ENJOY! Saturday, June 26, 2010. So, when we noticed Journee teething, we decided to give her some ice. We settled on ice because.well, I wasn't smart enough to put the teething ring into the freezer ahead of time. Any way, this was her reaction when we tried taking the ice away. Enjoy! Sunday, June 20, 2010. Day at the Zoo June 20, 2010. Wednesday, June 9, 2010.

Living with the Boss

Wednesday, February 25, 2015. The Great Ice Storm - Part 1. The ice hung from the rafters. From the power lines and the trees,. It was just another winter day with us cozy in our house. Then the power flickered. Panic sunk into the cook's heart. All hands on deck to finish putting dinner on the table, but no good. As the world crystallized outside, inside the house went dark. Tempers flaired. Mom whipped out the cupcakes and Dad the computer. First Grade and Fearless. Tuesday, July 16, 2013. Last week wa...
