Wednesday, February 6, 2013. A Few Words and Pictures from the LA Art Show. Looking at art – really looking – is exhausting. An hour was enough to see some stunning landscapes and gorgeous figures and florals, and I spent the second hour wandering through the show, alternately enjoying and being repulsed. With 50,000 people attending over 4 days, the crowd was as diverse as the art, which ranged from $600 to $600,000. Ve. 65279; . Edgar Payne in the Sierra Nevada. 65279; . 65279;. LizzieAlone-Censored: November 2010
http://lizziealone-censored.blogspot.com/2010_11_01_archive.html
Tuesday, November 30, 2010. This is where the girls and I greet the dawn each day. Sunrise never disappoints, is always spectacular, always different, always there! And the sun comes up to the accompaniment of the neighborhood roosters screeching away. I love it. And, here is a sweet little bag I whipped up yesterday. How cute is that? Saturday, November 27, 2010. I backed into a car in the Walgreen's parking lot this morning. What the H-E double toothpicks is going on here? Phase of the moon? I bought t...

Friday, October 29, 2010. Thought for the day. So my days at the Salt Shed are waning, in more ways than one. Oh, I will miss my house on the Little River. Not to mention the happiest place on earth: my studio. Here they are in all their autumn glory. I was reading Eckart Tolle's, Rising Above Thought. Last night. He says that feeling will get you closer to the truth of who you are than thinking. I like to think he is right. Thursday, October 28, 2010. Only the best invention EVER! We must have stared at...

Rebecca's Perspectives: May 2015

Saturday, May 2, 2015. He taught me a lot, my dad. My dad died suddenly last week. It was a strange and unexpected loss. We had been losing him slowly. To Alzheimer’s, and in some ways it was as if he were already gone, yet he wasn’t. He was still having coffee in the morning, enjoying an afternoon walk, posing for goofy photos. Mostly he just shuffled around in a fog, fidgeting with doors. Dad taught me many things, for better or worse. He took me to Mutiny on the Bounty. Out on Crystal Lake with me and.

Monday, January 6, 2014. Photograph by Laura Hindle. A friend in my hometown of Ann Arbor, Michigan, just posted this beautiful photo of the pond in her backyard on Facebook. I am feeling nostalgic for a real winter, for the snows and snowmen of my childhood, cross-country skiing through the woods, and playing ice hockey. F, but unusual weather is not so abnormal these days. Tangerines, 6x8" oil on birch, by Rebecca Stebbins. Concrete driveway and his automatic sprinklers come on even when it does rain, ...
