The Boysen Team: Giving
http://theboysenteam.blogspot.com/2009/11/giving.html
Monday, November 16, 2009. I have been strongly convicted recently, that the theme of our family Christmas needs to be "giving." We are incredibly blessed to be a family of six, on a single, stable income. Of course we struggle here and there. But it is never the kind of struggle where we have to ask "should we pay the electric bill, or the insurance this month? Our struggle is more of us not putting money away for the kids future, and not keeping a. And our children have SO MUCH! Drop the stuff off at t...

The Boysen Team: practical motivation
http://theboysenteam.blogspot.com/2009/09/practical-motivation.html
Wednesday, September 9, 2009. Here is a quick little bit of practical motivation. Today, I added 8 minutes of the stairmaster. To my 45 minute cardio. Routine. What can 8 minutes do? Well, in 8 minutes I burn about 100 calories. I know that on my body, burning 800 calories equals about -1lb! By adding only 8 minutes to 4 of my work outs a week (and what's 53 minutes. Then every month I will lose and extra 2 lbs! So instead of losing 6 lbs this month I will lose 8! September 9, 2009 at 3:41 PM.

http://adifferentkindofsame.blogspot.com/2010/11/fall-im-lovin-it.html
Sunday, November 7, 2010. Fall: I'm Lovin It. In no particular order.this is why I love fall:. I don't immediately start sweating when I walk outside. Random fall scents, especially this candle I got from Bath and Body Works called 'leaves.'. Getting to sit outside at a restaurant to eat and not leave completely drenched in sweat.Joe T's, here I come! I get to wear my boots. (Not cowboy boots, though I secretly want some for fun). I get to wear my scarves! Time off from work for Thanksgiving. Cant post i...

a different kind of same: Fallin'
http://adifferentkindofsame.blogspot.com/2010/10/fallin.html
Thursday, November 4, 2010. Things I love about Fall:. Being able to wear a long-sleeved (or 3/4 length - are those still in style? Shirt and walk outside without feeling sweat start to drip immediately. Texas may have super hot summers, but I wouldn't trade it for super cold winters. But it sure is nice when fall rolls around. And now that I have a child in school I get to enjoy this fall-ish thing again. So fun. am I weird? Fall decor. I really don't like Halloween decorations, so I had the "Give T...

Passionately Parenting: November 2009
http://passionatelyparenting.blogspot.com/2009_11_01_archive.html
Friday, November 13, 2009. Proud to be doing something right. On the way to church on Sunday my 5th grade daughter brought up the subject of dating. This wasn't the first time, mind you. Something is wrong with our society that 5th graders, even fourth graders are "asking each other out." I don't know what this means exactly. Do the boys come up and say "hey baby, do you want my mom to take us to a movie? It's in those moments, you know you are doing something right. Tuesday, November 10, 2009. So as the...

http://adifferentkindofsame.blogspot.com/2010_08_01_archive.html
Monday, August 30, 2010. This week we are blogging about the top 5 things that people do to annoy us and the top 5 things thy we do that probably annoy others. So here we go! 1 Women who continue to have children (that are poorly taken care of) so they can get more welfare money. 3 People who complain about Southern Baptists. It drives me nuts! And you really better watch out if you use bad language around my child! I have a sixth one too: people who are getting in their cars in a shopping center and see...

a different kind of same: Black Friday
http://adifferentkindofsame.blogspot.com/2010/11/black-friday.html
Tuesday, November 16, 2010. So this year, as usual, I'll be sleeping soundly in a nice warm bed the day after Thanksgiving. I'll leave the trampling to someone else :). Subscribe to: Post Comments (Atom). We are six women who have all been friends for more than ten years. Some of us have been friends for almost twenty years. That makes me laugh just writing something like that. TWENTY YEARS? Looking for someone in particular? Ryan, Carrie, and Leah makes three! Keeping up with the Joneses.
