Sunday, January 13, 2013. For our Thanksgiving dinner we went fairly simple this year in anticipation of the big feast between feasts. We love to pan fry our potatoes year round so this year Jeremiah chose to apply that technique to yams. Instead of seasoning with garlic and salt we went with brown sugar and cinnamon. Oh so good! Saturday, March 23, 2013. So for a couple of days I put a cake together that I thought could represent all of the books and movies. It was by far the most difficult cake I had attempted. I think it turned out pretty well though. While we were waiting for everyone to arrive, I gathered some things together for some games. Wednesday, October 31, 2012. I love this time of year. It can be so fun. I always think of so many things to do with my kids, but we just can't fit it all in. Wednesday, February 27, 2013. I was a bit late getting the kids in for their well-child check ups. I took them in all at the same time. Well Will had his last August, but the other three were scheduled for the same time. They all looked so cute in their little exam gowns. All the check ups went well. Thursday, July 18, 2013. The Day of Our Independence. We were lucky to have Jeremiah home from work the week of the Fourth of July this year. It was fun to spend time together as a family at home. We found an awesome kit at Lowe's for a fire pit. Jeremiah and Jacob worked on installing it together. Jacob pretty much moved all the block from the pickup to he back yard himself. Friday, April 12, 2013. Monday we had a bit of time to just play and relax. We all went out to the playground in the side yard and had a great time.
