Saturday, April 23, 2011. The a few blocks down to El Mercado de San Juan. This market is famous for carrying a wide assortment of exotic things in addition to the fabulous tipical Mexican stuff. They had worms and grasshoppers. Beetles (of which I ate one). Roast pork with (oh so scrumptious) mole sauce, rice and fried plantains, and escamole tacos. Monday, April 25, 2011. Rio Largartos is a nature reserve and flamingo sanctuary at the northern tip of the pennisula. We stayed in the little fishing village of San Felipe nearby, which was quaint though tiny. Our guide was very knowledgable and would pull right into the mangroves to show us something interesting while calling to me, "Get your camera ready! Black Hawk Catching the Puffer Fish we threw at it. The last we saw of our guide Gabriel. Baiting this crocodile. (Our guide lived).

Saturday, April 23, 2011. The last time we went to Metepec, a few ladies didn't get the chance to go or didn't get the chance to stay and see everything, so we planned another trip. This time we discovered a workshop and we able to explore and be awestruck in great abundance. I took a lot of pictures, but managed to buy nothing but lunch. Great fun trip!
