There has been an annual Show of some type goingback possibly to the time of the visit of Charles l. in 1645 an occasion which was celebrated with horse racing on Cefn Bran. Events in the area. There is always something on in Llanfyllin and lots of events are published on the Civic Society’s web site. The highlight of the year is the Llanfyllin Show tracing its history back to the 1600s. It is held in the middle of August and details can be found on the Show website. The Llanfyllin Show next year will be on the second Saturday in August. This is one of the oldest agriculatural shows in the area and has all-day entertainment for all the family.
