Red and Green Sandstone Supplies. Draining stone is mostly green sandstone, crushed down to roughly 2 – 3″ diameter then screened to remove both the larger stones and the small stone to dust. This makes the remaining stone ideal for drainage, where the stone is small enough to be filled in manually, but large enough for effective draining of water. Delivery is usually by bulk tipper.

Red and Green Sandstone Supplies. We’ve been supplying cropped walling since 1984 and it remains one of the quarrys most popular products. The stone is a mixture of red and green sandstone and is hand cropped to fit on a 6″ bed. The stone is cropped randomly, but contains a very high percentage of quoins for ease of building. Delivery can be by bulk tipper or by 1 Tonne bags.

Red and Green Sandstone Supplies. Scalpings are produced mostly from green sandstone, crushed down and then screened to remove stone sized over around an inch. Very easy to work by hand, scalpings make an excellent top surface for roads and tracks – at a price far cheaper than asphalt. Delivery is usually by bulk tipper.

Red and Green Sandstone Supplies. Excavations at Llangorse Quarry began about 200 years ago when local labourers were employed to mine building stone and roofing tiles for nearby villages. The stone, with its distinctive shades of red and green and its resistance to erosion, was found to be ideal for this purpose. Being a wholly family-run business we are dedicated to producing the highest quality products; as a result our stone has featured everywhere from the Royal Welsh Agricultural Show.
