I’m successfully working part time and seems like I could ramp gradually back up toward full time as I go. My Journey Back from Concussion. How Our Quest Began. Two and a Half Years (almost). I successfully completed a year of part-time classroom teaching, and toward the end of the year I subbed for colleagues for full days as well. It’s great to know I can tolerate that level of sensory input and keep up with what I need to do in a classroom. Someday I hope to be able to transition off these medications, but today is probably not that day. Beginning full cognitive rest combined with light physical exercise.

It was very helpful in identifying what was helpful and harmful and helping focus on what I could do rather than what I couldn’t do during this difficult time.
