Lloydian's Notes: August 2005
http://lloydian.blogspot.com/2005_08_01_archive.html
Thursday, August 25, 2005. No Wonder the War Still Has Supporters. The anti-Cindy Sheehan caravan passed through Phoenix. Last night. The local right-wing fanatic radio station held a rally at Arriba Mexican Grill at Arrowhead Mall. To the question of do I define our fallen soldiers as terrorists? No But neither do I define Iraqi insurgents as terrorists. And if that's our goal, then perhaps they hate us for something different. Posted by Lloyd Lawrence @ 2:29 PM. Wednesday, August 17, 2005. Lloydian's Notes: April 2005
http://lloydian.blogspot.com/2005_04_01_archive.html
Thursday, April 28, 2005. Welcome to the Twilight Zone. It's fascinating to observe the political world right now. What world are they living in? In the leadup to the war with Iraq, I recall telling people that I distrusted and wanted verification of the President's words. The common response was that the President has access to information the rest of us don't. People are dying needlessly. What will it take to open the eyes of conservatives? Lloydian's Notes: March 2006
http://lloydian.blogspot.com/2006_03_01_archive.html
Tuesday, March 28, 2006. I'm sure I've posted to this point before, but I shoot pool. To be sure, I'm not great, but I'm better than I was a year ago. Last weekend, my father and I joined our teammate, Oscar, in the Southwest Challenge. We did okay. We won as much as we lost. And as far as money goes, well, we had fun. Speaking as a mathematical genius, I just had to chuckle and acknowledge his point. Later, I went into the casino to gamble. Posted by Lloyd Lawrence @ 4:10 PM. Monday, March 20, 2006.

Lloydian's Notes: September 2005
http://lloydian.blogspot.com/2005_09_01_archive.html
Tuesday, September 27, 2005. Though more in a Dangerfield kind of way than any other. My father and I shoot pool in a couple of leagues every Thursday night (one is eight ball, the other is nine ball). I'm not very good. I seem to have a problem shooting straight and sure need to fix that problem. We used to have a player on our team who was very, very good. Wes had a handicap of 7 (which in APA. And now, my goal is to be able to beat Jason by the end of the Winter Session. Tuesday, September 13, 2005.

Lloydian's Notes: July 2005
http://lloydian.blogspot.com/2005_07_01_archive.html
Thursday, July 21, 2005. I should never have tried to go into business for myself. At my previous job, we needed (or thought we needed) a professional technician to troubleshoot a switch. The problem was misdiagnosed, and an insufficient solution, at a cost of over $900, was implemented. Two days later, an additional $600 was necessary to solve the real problem. I thought that if someone could be successful and simultaneously unethical, how much better would an ethical business fare? Oh, the Stories!

Lloydian's Notes: June 2005
http://lloydian.blogspot.com/2005_06_01_archive.html
Monday, June 06, 2005. I wish I could get worked up over politics again. At least with politics, there is hope for overall change in the future. My sister invited me to church yesterday. She knows I'm agnostic, but as so many evangelical Christians do, she assumes that this is a temporary illness that she can cure. I politely reminded her that:. I am not a Christian. Among Christian churches, I especially dislike megachurches such as the one she attends. True believers should never argue with cynics.

Friday, May 27, 2005. I tell stories. It's a habit I have. For instance:. I'm divorced. Now I'm not going to tell you that I'm the greatest catch ever, but when my wife left me, she said she still loved me, she just wasn't in love with me. I think I should have kept her away from that stupid Madison County book. But I tell this story because I have a point to make. At right, you can see the Media Matters for America. Lloydian's Notes: December 2005
http://lloydian.blogspot.com/2005_12_01_archive.html
Wednesday, December 14, 2005. The Mythical War on Christmas. Why do people believe Bill O'Reilly? His many tirades against non-Christians who, in his view, are waging a war on Christmas are well documented and, as of this writing, are probably among the entries in the Media Matters section at right. They are referring to more than just Christmas, and "Happy Holidays" is easier to say than "Merry Christmas and Happy New Year.". Yes, of course that's what Jesus would say. The Jesus I've studied would weep ...

Lloydian's Notes: October 2005

Monday, October 31, 2005. Profile of a Coward. I'm in the computer repair business. Last Thursday, I was visiting the home of a customer who had his television on next to the computer. He was watching Fox News Channel. Bill, you are a coward. By your definition, you are cowardly and immoral. Posted by Lloyd Lawrence @ 4:14 PM. Thursday, October 27, 2005. I have very clear memories of the 2000 presidential election. We all knew that Bush and Gore were going down to the wire, but I maintained confidenc...
