Friday, November 28, 2014. Lloyd and I took a few days this past week to make the five hour drive up to Edmonton to combine medical appointments with Christmas present deliveries to the families of five of our kids who live up there. It's amazing how much we got accomplished in such a short span of time. Sara's family is moving into a new house so Lloyd spent Saturday, along with assorted siblings and in-laws, helping her and Mike paint. Noone bothers taking pictures of Mickey or me when this little.

Saturday, July 12, 2014. Thumbs Aren't Green Yet! Not wanting to dig up our yard in case this foray into earthiness didn't 'take', we opted for container gardening. And since arthritic knees don't like to be crawling on the ground planting, weeding and harvesting, we were thrilled when we found some hip-high planters that I could plant, weed and harvest without even bending over (it pays to be short too). Monday, May 26, 2014. Our first stop on our way home last week was a portion of the Montezuma's Castle National Monument that we hadn't seen before. It's not far from Sedona, AZ. We had visited Montezuma's Castle a number of times but never went further up the highway to the Well. It's really quite amazing and well worth the stop and the 1/3 mile hike uphill to the well. The ancient people carved homes and storage chambers in the stone. Walls surrounding the well. Archeologists have repaired, but not.

Saturday, April 11, 2015. Lloyd, Micah, Jenny and Nathan on the foot trail. The road up the mountain is twisty, turny, steep and narrow making driving a bit of a challenge, but we finally made it to the summit. There's a nice little park up there and a wonderfully cool stone structure called Dobbins Lookout. Apparently it is a favorite point for taking pictures.
