Wednesday, October 6, 2010. New school year, fall and other random. Stoney is in third grade now (where on earth did time go? Wasn't he in preschool just yesterday? On a completely different note: I got lucky enough that i won tickets to the zoo. I have never won anything in my life! Stoney had been asking to go to the zoo for quite a while, but unlike the Smithsonian in DC most Zoos aren't free or cheap. But then we won the tickets! Stoney and Emu in staring contest. Stoney won. I already know that!

Saturday, February 27, 2010. Spring is in the air. Oh my, spring is in the air! I mean, not that is WARM, but it has warmed up, the snow has melted and we actually got some sun today. The type of things that you might need to know during trivial pursuit or something. He knows that the Roman Empire was over run by Germanic tribes. Tuesday, August 31, 2010. Last days of summer. And when i say 'the last days of summer' I mean not just the end of the boys' summer holidays. I literally mean the end of summer. Tuesday, June 29, 2010. End of the school year. And yes, it has spread to Europe: The habit of doing a 'graduation' for kindergartners. As ridiculous as that is, it did make for a nice picture or two. The other day we went to check on the boys (at 11, when they are finally asleep) and found this in his bed. Friday, October 26, 2012. Pumpkin Patch Field Trip. I had the opportunity to chaperone a field trip with Isabella's class to the Pumpkin Patch. While I was not all that impressed with this particular pumpkin patch, the kids had a lot of fun. Here's a few pictures from the day. The three I had to keep track of - Isabella, Julia, and Kailyn.
