A Brief History of the Rummel Chapelle Band Program. The Raider Band Program began along with the school itself in 1962. The first Director of Bands for Archbishop Rummel High School was Mr. Howard Voorhies, in whose honor the Howard Voorhies Award is given each year for outstanding musicianship.
