October Festivities… | This Beautiful Mess
https://whitneyjc.wordpress.com/2013/11/01/october-festivities
Dinner by candlelight :) →. November 1, 2013. Starting with Walt’s first-ever field trip for school. Tate Farms! Afterwards, we painted some of our Tate Farms pumpkins. Walt loved his green pumpkin. Next, the annual Harvest HeyDay at church. E thoroughly enjoyed his sucker and his orange balloon! Walt and his best buddies with Lightning McQueen. The night before Halloween, the four of us went to a trunk or treat at Grana and Daddy Tom’s church. Very fun. I love having a blog for this very reason! Notify ...

Tuesday, March 5, 2013. Boy, oh boy, Row Row! How is it that you are already one year old? It seems like just yesterday you and I were cuddled up in the hospital together deliriously happy with our 3 am conversations. Tomorrow you turn one, and life is moving fast! Bubba, although you're certainly not down with the whole weaning thing, you LOVE solid food. It's a good thing you're finally getting more chompers! You cut the third one just last week on your Yah Yah's birthday.). And the fact that you move ...

Largapalooza: Fashionista in Training
http://larguefamily.blogspot.com/2013/06/fashionista-in-training.html
Sunday, June 30, 2013. Lucy is a girl after my own heart! Exhibit A: Yesterday we spent a fabulous day (my 31st birthday) being spoiled rotten at the outlets with GiGi and MiMi. Needless to say, shopping was on Lucy's brain. On the way home (after 5 hours of marathon clothes buying) she finally fell asleep. Poor baby started having a nightmare. She was balling crying but still snoozing when she began frantically talking in her sleep. "My dress! That's a bad dream alright! A bargain shopper in the making!

Monday, March 25, 2013. Monday Conversations with the Kiddos. Girls will be girls. Boys will be boys. The differences are amazingly obvious from the earliest age. Case in point, my conversations today with my children. On the way to school, I ask Lucy what she's going to do today, yada, yada, yada. Her reply: "Mom, I just want to watch a wedding and chill out today." Don't we all, ladies? The first time, we thought, 'Surely that was by coincidence! Saturday, March 16, 2013. A is for "animated.". She boun...

Largapalooza: Names and Nurseries
http://larguefamily.blogspot.com/2012/02/names-and-nurseries.html
Sunday, February 26, 2012. It's 2 am While the rest of the non-pregnant people of the world sleep, I'm wide awake, as is Rowen. (Did I mention that we finally picked part of a name for baby "Julio? Rowen, spelled with an "e.") After going around and around for 8 long months, we returned to one of the very first names that we discussed and both liked for Lucy before we knew she was a girl. We're currently still tossing around middle names. (Or maybe Rowen is his middle name? Moving on. Mama and Bret h...

Largapalooza: Overheard at Home
http://larguefamily.blogspot.com/2013/10/overheard-at-home.html
Wednesday, October 23, 2013. Lately, conversations with these kids have been a hoot. Here are a few of my favorite recent ones, as well as some translations of Rowen-ese. Seesy" = Sissy/ Lucy. Jeck" = "Jake" (as in "and the Neverland Pirates"). Deeka, deeka, deeka" = Tickle, tickle, tickle. I dunno" (with hands out and shoulders shrugged) = I don't know. Dah-daw" = hot dog (and he LOVES to do the "Hot Dog Dance" and sing-along). Teet" (while grasping at the air) = Treat. Row: No (shaking his head). Scene...
