Tahlia who is eight years old and I will leave Brisbane the week after my son and his wife leave. But firstly let me introduce the family to you. Firstly, this is Tahlia with her grandmother. The LORD has afflicted me; the Almighty has brought misfortune upon me.” (Ruth 1:20, 21–NIV). Was it really God who brought misfortune on Naomi?

Monday, September 27, 2010. The city of Kowloon and Hong Kong with highrise living for their 7 million residents. And yet the contrast between the have and the have-nots is incredibly black and white. In this photo, poverty in the foreground with luxury highrise in the distance. The colourful Markets are really something. That's me taking a photo of my family. Every street and lane shows life difficult for the inhabitants against the backdrop of those living the easy life. Morning Mist - Tenterfield. Happy Australia Day 2015. For our overseas readers, it's Australia Day today. What better reason to bake some ANZAC bikkies. So, the Blogger got me into the kitchen this morning, even though it's 30 Deg C in the house. Outside it's 35 Deg C. We start off melting butter. In a bowl we mix flour, rolled oats, sugar and coconut. We add bicarbonate of soda mixed in water. We add the liquid to the dry mixture. Mix it all together. Bake in a low oven for 12-15 minutes.

Morning Mist - Tenterfield. Today I took the Blogger to our favourite Brisbane Swiss Restaurant "Des Alpes" at Mitchelton. It's also our 46th Wedding Anniversary so two birds etc etc. The Des Alpes is expertly run by owners Nick and Monika Herbert. (Monika was born in Thun, my home town). You can eat inside or al fresco. We love eating at the Des Alpes. Diane had Chicken Florentine with Nick's excellent Rösti. I had Atlantic Salmon with Nick's excellent Rösti. The Des Alpes is also famous for its Fondue.
