Take a pick. Grab a bite. Saturday, June 19, 2010. Subscr...

Gerger's Journeys: "No buy, no try."
http://gergerjourneys.blogspot.com/2010/10/no-buy-no-try.html
Food, Travel, and Photography. Feed your wanderlust. Tuesday, October 12, 2010. No buy, no try.". I was walking along the streets of Monkok, enjoying my stuffed bread and a couple of takoyaki when I came across one of the area's small camera shops. I looked at one of the windows and saw a Nikon SB-600 flash gun. Since I was planning to buy one in Manila, I got curious on how much does it cost as compared to Hidalgo shops. I went inside and the place was a photographer's haven! Walking along the streets.

Jolly Jeep: December 2009
http://yopejdgreat.blogspot.com/2009_12_01_archive.html
Take a pick. Grab a bite. Friday, December 18, 2009. Where would I be on 2154? We have seen him work in Terminator 2. We saw how magnificent his eyes are in Titanic. Now, brace yourselves for another masterpiece from the master, James Cameron. When I heard of the film, it was nothing for me at first. It seems to be just another sci-fi movie that would pass by. And then the trailer came, I said, "This I have to watch,". Would James Cameron still create such film? That I'll leave up to him. I love you, I do.

Jolly Jeep: November 2010
http://yopejdgreat.blogspot.com/2010_11_01_archive.html
Take a pick. Grab a bite. Tuesday, November 2, 2010. How has it been? It has been almost 4 months since I landed on this foreign lah-lah-land. It has been 4 months of being miles and miles away from my family and friends. It has been 4 months of trying to learn the ropes of the new industry I am in. It has been 4 months. I was never fearful of my decision to try my luck here in Singapore. It was actually the best decision I've ever made. Why? Why am I working for my mom? Look at the brighter side! Advert...

Jolly Jeep: August 2009
http://yopejdgreat.blogspot.com/2009_08_01_archive.html
Take a pick. Grab a bite. Thursday, August 27, 2009. A good, worthy laugh it was. I was there when Cinemalaya announced this year's Best Feature Film, Last Supper No. 3. There was a round of applause, even a standing ovation. That stir my interest to watch the film. Then Fat Lion came to my rescue. They held a free viewing of the film. Who was I to resist a free film viewing? Time to eat culture again, I thought. We all know of what the Last Supper is, it is in every table of every family in the country.

Jolly Jeep: May 2010

Take a pick. Grab a bite. Monday, May 3, 2010. Boracay is food. Food is Boracay. I know of Boracay's fine sand and crystal-clear beach. But there's more to what your eyes can see, there's also what your tongue can taste. Boracay homes the most mouth-watering dishes and desserts that will make you swim back for more. There's the artsy-fartsy Smoke restaurant in D'Mall. Then there's Beef Salpicao. When you taste buds crave for that Filipino dish, there's Island Chicken Inasal. Then Zuzuni's the only way.

Jolly Jeep: September 2010
http://yopejdgreat.blogspot.com/2010_09_01_archive.html
Take a pick. Grab a bite. Tuesday, September 7, 2010. It has been a while since I last posted something on this blog. Really long while. A seemingly relaxing hiatus for me and for my search for greener pasture. And so yes, I went out of the country to earn a better salary. Much better, at that. But yes, I'm still aligned with what I studied in college. Not underemployed. Not underpaid. Let me just get everything straight, I'm here not for the sake of earning a bunch of bread for myself, but for my mom.
