You’d think that I’ve seen it all by now and that nothing would get to me. But I cry every time. Even with the good success stories! Letters of love from near and far. Home, for now. February 25, 2013. Whew I can’t even begin to tell you what a relief it was to walk in my front door to my own house this weekend. I was (and still am) exhausted. Thanks to our awesome neighbors, the house was safe and sound and my plants were well-watered and still living! It has been quite the few weeks! Monday, February 13, 2012. The weather was great, not quite warm, but sunny and clear. The landscape was beautiful - rolling hills, huge old oak and walnut trees, vineyards as far as the eye can see. Ah.now I am really missing it! But it was a busy Fri night and we didn't have reservations. We did catch a glimpse of Mike Chiarello though. That was as close to a 'celebrity' siting as we got - our friends went last year and saw Robin Williams at this. A quick stop for IN-N-OUT burgers on the way to Napa.

Saturday, December 31, 2011. Anyway, I did want to capture some memories of Sam's first Christmas. I can't believe it's already over! This Christmas, for some reason, has been rough for a lot of good friends and acquaintances. Along with that, sharing the experience with Sam made me appreciate it that much more. Wednesday, September 28, 2011. 6 month stats - he weighs 15 lb, 8 oz and is 27 inches long. Lean and mean! I need to fatten this boy up. It really does bother me that he doesn't weigh more; I wish he was one of those chubby babies. But he is perfectly healthy and the dr. doesn't seem concerned, so I guess I should get over it. With the low prices and really low interest rates, it makes more sense to pay a new mortgage then to pay someone else rent when we do move. That's the long and short of it.
