TY 2010-2011 :D: Irish Legends!
http://roisinp.blogspot.com/p/irish-legends.html
On this page I will put up an Irish myth or legend every now and again. I was inspired by the St.Patrick's Day festivities! The Salmon Of Knowledge;. The salmon of knowledge was an ordinary fish until it consumed the nine hazel nuts that fell into the Well of Wisdom from nine hazel trees that surrounded the well. In so doing the salmon gained all the knowledge in the world. While struggling to net the wily fish Finegas accidentally looked into it's eyes and immediately fell into a deep sleep. Thereafter,...

http://roisinp.blogspot.com/2011/05/horse-and-pony-breeds-anglo-arab.html
Sunday, May 8, 2011. Horse and Pony Breeds; The Anglo Arab. Here is the second part to my geography project. The first was the Arab now here is the Anglo-Arab of England and France. Colour: Bay, Black, Grey, Brown. Use: Riding, Racing, Competition. The Anglo-Arab is usually a cross of a Arab stallion and TB mare. British stud books require 12.5% Arab blood, but the French requires 25%. TBs have Arab connections. They were brought over to emprove the pureness of the TB bloodlines and to refine the bre...

TY 2010-2011 :D: Cheese Cake!
http://roisinp.blogspot.com/2011/05/cheese-cake.html
Thursday, May 19, 2011. On Tuesday we made cheese. We could choose what flavour we wanted so Elaine and I chose strawberry and malteasers. There were so many processes to do to make it. But there was nothing to hard to do! We had to let it set, so we couldn't get it till the end of the day. I put mine into two small lunch box's. Which turned out great. Ours turned out really well, and tasted great! I was really happy with it.Now I have to make for a communion! I hope to keep it up! Time for a break.

TY 2010-2011 :D: New Geography Project.
http://roisinp.blogspot.com/2011/05/new-geography-project.html
Friday, May 6, 2011. We have to do a Geography project using Google Maps and Blogger. I have chosen the subject Horse and Pony Breeds. I like horses and I think it is interesting how some of them have adapted to their surrounding climate and geographical area, how far across the world they have travelled or how important they can be to a local economy. Here's my map:. The breeds I chose are:. Terminoloy for those non horsey people:. Hh - "hands high", how horses and ponies are measured. 1hand = 4inchs.

TY 2010-2011 :D: Poetry. "Living in Sin" by Adrienne Rich
http://roisinp.blogspot.com/2011/05/poetry-living-in-sin-by-adrienne-rich.html
Thursday, May 5, 2011. Poetry. "Living in Sin" by Adrienne Rich. We studied another poem by Adrienne Rich today in class. I thought it very realistic compared to some of her other poem but here is what I think of it and what I think Ms. Rich is trying to tell us. 8220;a cat stalking the picturespue amusing mouse had risen at his urging.” the still life drawing here shows that maybe this is a constant acurance, but in stead of chasing they chase with words, argue, rising to each others taunts. Poetry....

Thursday, May 12, 2011. Horse and Pony Breeds; The Shagya Arab. Here is the third part of my geography project, horse and pony breeds of the world. The Shagya Arab is much the same as the Arab, they would be the next eldest kind of Arab too. The reason I chose them was because the reason they look slightly different from the Arab of the Arabian Peninsula. They do because of the climate they live in, in Hungary. Colour: Mostly grey(s) but can be other solid colours. Labels: Horse and Pony Breeds. Easter H...

TY 2010-2011 :D: Horse and Pony Breeds; The Arab.
http://roisinp.blogspot.com/2011/05/horse-and-pony-breeds-arab.html
Friday, May 6, 2011. Horse and Pony Breeds; The Arab. Here is the first of five points in my geography project about Horse and Pony Breeds. This is about the Arabian Horse. The Arab is known as one of the purest and one of the oldest breeds, 4500years, in the world today. They come from the Arabian Penisula in the Middle east. The geography and climate of this area has ensured their purity. By 700AD Islamic armies occupied Persia, Turkey, Libya, Morocco, Palestine, Syria, Spain, Northern Egypt and North ...
