Dad told me that the reason he wasn't taking me was that I might not be allowed in some of the places he wanted to go in the evening, and that he might need to leave me on the pavement outside. Tuesday, August 29, 2006. The Harrison Generations Visit Devon. It was a lovely surprise. Mum and Dad had organised for my Gran, Grandpa, Great Grandad and Great Gran to visit for the day. It was amazing to have four generations together under one roof. Later, we had a little walk through the golf course to the sea and then headed back to a lovely hotel for afternoon tea. Sunday, August 27, 2006. One of my goals over the last few weeks has been to develop my neck muscles. It has been frustrating having to rely on other people to support my head. Today, I managed to partially sit up as well as go for a walk in the baby bjorn facing forwards. What a breakthrough! Next goal on the list: Walking. Friday, September 01, 2006. My Dad was very excited this morning. He was up and out of bed very quickly - very unusual for him - and actually woke ME up. Even more unusual! I was quickly placed in the baby bjorn before we walked (quickly) into the village to the local post office. My Dad collected his two reserved copies of the Guardian before we rushed home. I was a little bemused as to why my Dad was acting in this way until he told me that his company had been featured in the Guardian.

It was a good opportunity for me to introduce myself, so we decided on a half-way meet - at the Finglewell Bridge Inn in Drewsteignton - on the edge of Dartmoor.
