Charley and Jackson: Baptism Revisited
http://charleyjax.blogspot.com/2007/02/baptism-revisited.html
It was a long weekend. Luckily, when it was all over, Monica was there for us. They poured water on us. We were OK with it, but Charley made a face similar to Beki's in this photo. We were able to sleep through most of the ceremony as they spread oil and other things on our foreheads and chests. After that, it was time to relax. Not that we weren't already relaxed, but nonetheless, we kept at it. Thursday, February 08, 2007. Subscribe to: Post Comments (Atom). Some of our favorite photos. Goin' to the zoo.

Charley and Jackson: First Communion
http://charleyjax.blogspot.com/2015/04/first-communion.html
The day finally came. But first, we had to look the part. Check out these sweet ties from Grandma and Bumpa. Bumpa did an expert job tying them for us. We wore our finest shoes . . . And even had pocket squares that Grandma C made. When we arrived, we practiced our petitions. We were one of seven to read a petition during Mass. After Mass, our whole group of First Communicants sang a song for everyone at church. It was a great day. Sunday, April 19, 2015. Some of our favorite photos. Goin' to the zoo.

Charley and Jackson: Valentine's climb
http://charleyjax.blogspot.com/2015/02/valentines-climb.html
We were lucky enough to spend the evening on Valentine's Day doing some climbing. Naturally, as we climbed, we had to stick out our tongues. Jax bought a chalk bag to help him climb. He was kind enough to share some. It really does help when gripping during a climb. We're climbing some of the toughest walls in the place and getting pretty good at them. It must be the tongue wagging. Sunday, February 15, 2015. Some of our favorite photos. Goin' to the zoo. Click on the photo. Click on the photo.

Charley and Jackson: Great spring break
http://charleyjax.blogspot.com/2015/04/great-spring-break.html
We took an awesome spring break trip to the east cost this past week. One of the first things we did was walk on the deck of an aircraft carrier. It was HUGE and so amazing. Did you know that 35,000 people can live and work one of these things? We even got to check out the control room and pretend to steer it. Not too far from the aircraft carrier was a Vietnam Way museum. They had a real helicopter we could climb in and pretend to fly. We did lot of running and searching for shells. Goin' to the zoo.

Charley and Jackson: Baptism: A third time
http://charleyjax.blogspot.com/2007/02/baptism-third-time.html
Baptism: A third time. Apparently there was this mad dash the day and night before the baptism to get our special outfits made. Janice, far right, was the designer and project manager, Great Grandma K and Betty offered their expertise. Right after the baptism we realized just where we might end up as we took a photo with all the Cook men. Great Grandparents have that name for a reason. We met them for the first time that weekend and they are great. Saturday, February 17, 2007. Some of our favorite photos.

Jill's Learning Lessons: The Wilderness
http://learningsomethingnew-jill.blogspot.com/2009/11/wilderness.html
Tuesday, November 17, 2009. I don't know that I'm out of the wilderness yet, but I do see glimpses of hope. I don't feel so alone anymore. Not much has changed externally. All those things that get me down are still there, but I'm hopeful, and I haven't been hopeful in many, many months. The morning I woke up with Keith Green in my head, I hope was the beginning of leaving the wilderness. I'll leave you with some lyrics. There are sometimes when I doubt. But you always find me out. Love you, Jilly. J...
