Mr. Martin's Class

Wednesday, August 4, 2010. Technology is a Must! Using technology is clearly a skill that is demanded by many employers. I feel that most students can find access through public libraries, friends, or special arrangements can be made. I don’t think that it is fair to students to use the lack of outside access to limit their technological advancement. So I would say no, outside access is not a problem. Monday, August 2, 2010. Mr. Martin's Class

http://www.lukerobertmartin.blogspot.com/2010/07/is-chatspeak-destorying-english-i-would.html

Wednesday, July 28, 2010. Is chatspeak destorying English? I would say no. English like all languages are ever evolving changing with the times. I don’t believe that it has an impact on students being able to communicate effectively when they need to. If anything it is encouraging them to write more than they would otherwise. If they didn’t use chatspeak they would just call each other. July 28, 2010 at 9:23 AM. July 28, 2010 at 9:25 AM. Subscribe to: Post Comments (Atom). Mr Martin's Wiki Page.

Mr. Martin's Class: Power Point

http://www.lukerobertmartin.blogspot.com/2010/08/power-point.html

Monday, August 2, 2010. There were a few examples of text being blended into the background making them difficult to read. The other concern I had was the content level being too varied from really easy to reasonably difficult. Sometimes people would go to fast to get a look at some of the slides because they didn’t have any text on them so they skipped them. Subscribe to: Post Comments (Atom). Mr Martin's Wiki Page. Mr. Burk's Class: Cyberbullying

http://kevinburkhistoryzone.blogspot.com/2010/07/cyberbullying.html

Friday, July 23, 2010. Is a form of harassment that occurs online. Students can inflict emotional harm on each other through malicious online messages. When I was in high school I frequented several sites where insults were hurled anonymously. From different online users. I was never personally involved in these activities but I did have friends who sent insulting messages to each other over instant messaging. Subscribe to: Post Comments (Atom). Ed Tech: Googling Myself...

http://elizabethmortensen.blogspot.com/2010/07/googling-myself.html

Monday, July 19, 2010. The Internet is a pretty crazy place with a ton of information about most people. Fortunately. For me it doesn't seem to know a whole heck of a lot about me. When searching for myself in Google I found a ton of other people with my same name but nothing about me. That surprised me a little because in the past I could find my F acebook. Page, but not anymore. When searching for myself on PIPL. I also came across. When searching for myself I did not find anything that I wouldn't.

Steven Huynh: August 2010

http://blogstevenhuynh.blogspot.com/2010_08_01_archive.html

Friday, August 6, 2010. I’m excited to incorporate technology into the curriculum. However, it’s important to remember that not all students have access to technology at home. Good teaching requires educators to know their students. Likewise, it’s important to know what technology (computers, Internet, cameras, cell phones, etc.) students have access to and are comfortable using. This can be accomplished through a simple questionnaire. Posted by Steven Huynh. Wednesday, August 4, 2010. It was interesting...

Ed Tech: Cell Phones in Class... Good or Bad

http://elizabethmortensen.blogspot.com/2010/07/cell-phones-in-class-good-or-bad.html

Wednesday, July 28, 2010. Cell Phones in Class. Good or Bad. I also understand that cell phones can be a class distraction. However, cell phones are a distraction that can be handled with a strict set of rules that students are held accountable to. The more I read through this article the more ideas I had for using cell phones in the class productively. It makes me curious about even more ways to use phones in the class. http://kevinburkhistoryzone.blogspot.com/2010_08_01_archive.html

Wednesday, August 4, 2010. I believe that students now have access to technology almost everywhere they go. If a student does not have access to a computer or the internet at home, then they can find internet access at a library or community center. Not having a computer at home is no excuse for never learning how to use technology. Showing kids how to do basic algebra through the illustration of boyfriend/girlfriend relationships was a great idea. He made me want to take his algebra class. I am ...I am ...

ISU 2011 | My journey through Austria

My journey through Austria. The End of Hell Week. All in all, the TP was a very stressful and difficult challenge.
