Moving right along, on Friday four of my favorite girlfriends and I loaded up in a big red truck with two dogs and headed for a weekend of leisure and nature in Homer, Alaska. Boats, and headed out into Kachemak Bay.

An Alaskan Lodge Overlooking Kachemak Bay and Cook Inlet. Fun things to do in and around Homer. We are right on The Homestead Trail. This trail starts at the West end of Diamond Ridge Rd where it meets the Sterling Hwy. (3 miles from the lodge) It is 1.5 miles to the beach and then you can walk all the way to Homer, approx. 6 more miles, or to Anchor Point at least 9 miles. There are Rock Tidal Pools about 1/2 way to Homer that are fun to explore on our really low tides. Winter is our favorite season!
