Could be the pregnancy, could be her latch, which was getting worse and worse before. I know that Eldest just gradually lost her latch and couldn't do it, and that was that. Thursday, December 31, 2009. Here we go again - Happy New Year! It's the new year, and Eldest is entirely weaned. Second is almost three and a half, and still feeding daily. And I'm 12 weeks pregnant. I'd forgotten how painful feeding in early pregnancy could be. But I'm pleased to be on the way again. Second has dropped her bedtime feeds but not her morning ones. Wednesday, October 31, 2007. 3y6m, 1y2.5m. Toddler is lovely, and has a milk feed almost every night, in the middle of the night, and almost never when we're awake. I was somewhat surprised, recently, to find her feeding a toy from a pretend bottle; it's the first time she's fed a "baby" from anything other than her nee-polls. Links to this post. Sunday, August 31, 2008. Toddler - who is now Enormous Four-Year-Old - is still feeding once every couple of months. Weaning is complicated! But she now finds that she doesn't get any milk, and her latch looks really odd, so I think her body has weaned her now and she's losing or lost the ability to suckle. And then I stopped. And the late reading thing really got to me; I can't remember being unable to read, and I know for sure I was reading ok at three and very competently at four, though my handwriting was atrocious and got me into a lot of trouble until I was seven or so (after that it was just impossibly tiny).
