The musings and meanderings.what works and what doesn't.the heartaches, headaches, and highlights of the life.of a wannabe jeweler living in the breeze of the sea. Monday, February 02, 2009. Jul 23, 2008 06:40. My friends Gayle and Christine and I went in to Khobar last night for a girl’s night out. We took the bus from Abqaiq and had a taxi take us to Saad Hospital so we could all have pedicures. I have now had a sum total of three pedicures in my entire life. After dinner, we were off to shop. Because ...

Dec 10, 2007 14:39. My workbench is finished and delivered and set up. It was custom made for me by Lito at the Hobby Shop. He had never made anything like this before, so was assisted by Malcolm. Malcolm taught him the techniques, and then he used them in my bench. I think he is an amazing student! I am swimming daily.

My Boy is Coming Home! Apr 8, 2006 03:32. This is Evan two years ago at the farm. Yes, it has been quiet. Yes, it has been clean. May 14, 2008 04:44. On Counting and Fusion. One of the very first pieces of jewelry I ever made. I was in Junior High School. I sawed, filed, soldered and filled it with resin and MOP. The jump ring bail is nearly worn through. Remember the odd number of prongs on my crown setting? I was wrong…I can’t count. The surgery w...

string, sticks and lots of socks
http://neeroc.blogspot.com/2007/10/im-still-in-my-funk-and-have-done-no.html
String, sticks and lots of socks. Yes, another knitting blog. Tuesday, October 2, 2007. I'm still in my funk, and have done no knitting since I last posted. But here are the items I managed to finish last week:. Another pair of SheepyPants, in Galway Paint, with the Lettuce cuffs:. Another CurlyPurly soaker, in Ella Rae. I was really disappointed with this yarn, balled, it looked like there was bright red throughout, but in reality there were only huge swatches of it mixed with the pink and purple:.

string, sticks and lots of socks: In a rut
http://neeroc.blogspot.com/2007/09/in-rut.html
String, sticks and lots of socks. Yes, another knitting blog. Friday, September 28, 2007. I've gone through my naughty corner, and it appears that my house elves are slacking off, nothing has been done! Not only that, but none of the items in the naughty corner are prepared to start behaving, so they are all staying for a bit longer. Which, sadly, means I must start a new project. Is appealing to my stash. Loudly. Subscribe to: Post Comments (Atom). Big block blanket in Mission Falls 1824 wool. Here are ...

A blog about pretty much nothing at all. Thursday, March 20, 2008. If you're in Memphis and need a dog-sitter, try this. Service. I can personally vouch for her services! Thursday, March 20, 2008. Tuesday, March 11, 2008. The snow continued into the night until about six inches had fallen. Outside the world was hushed and beautiful. The backyard was coated with a thick, soft layer of white. The next morning we set out for a local park to play before it all melted away. By day's end, the snow was gone, an...

A blog about pretty much nothing at all. Friday, September 24, 2010. Learning to Fly, On Two Wheels. So, for awhile, I did. Then, we drove to the Vespa dealership. Friday, September 24, 2010. Wednesday, September 22, 2010. And for that, dear reader (for I see, I still have one follower), I am heartily ashamed. You see, in my heart, I still think of myself as a writer. But how can I be a writer, if I don't make the time to write? And if I am truly a writer, what could be more important than writing? Recen...

String, sticks and lots of socks. Yes, another knitting blog. Saturday, October 20, 2007. I am either in a major funk, or the enormity of cleaning out my craft room, combined with cataloging my stash on Ravelry has overwhelmed my urge to impulse shop. This past Monday was vendors' night at knitting guild. I think there were 10-12 vendors there, and I did not buy a single thing! I mean, there was all sorts of interesting wool - Applelaine. Hand dyed Soy Silk. Small vendors with hand-dyed, Koigu. And I mad...
