A year (or two) in Bánica. Saturday, February 10, 2007. I found out that I don't need to worry about any witches messing with me (not that I was ever worried in the first place). The reason why? Because I'm a twin. Apparently, twins make witches nervous, and they won't have anything to do with them. My source of information couldn't tell me why this is. I'll have to look further into this. A year (or two) in Bánica. Saturday, May 24, 2008. Almost a year ago to the day we started catechism class in Pilón. In December, Father baptized a whole bunch of piloneros, and the bishop confirmed a group of them in January. Today, Fr. Gee celebrated the first Mass in the community's chapel, and 17 of them made their First Communion. The community is on the monthly Mass calendar now! Pray that they stay strong and continue to grow in the Faith. In other news, Bébhinn arrived in Bánica Wednesday night!
