If there's one thing living with a foreigner has taught me, it is how to get along with people who are different. My husband and I have been having the same argument off and on for 16 years. When it comes to Africa, we hold diametrically opposed worldviews. He is a tribalist. I am nationalist. Out of many, one. To my American mind, unity is strength.
