Friday, September 12, 2008. I updated the link to where the logo below points. Clicking it should bring you directly to the official Google page for Chrome (if it's up already, otherwise, it's a 404 page. ). I created a fairly long and hopefully good article about this Chrome* thing. And why it is big. But i have to hit the sack and it's still not finished, so I'll just draft it for next time, and just post an equally good (and shinier) one: Google Chrome's slick logo:. Tuesday, September 02, 2008. The Wandering Geek: Goodbye Hello

http://www.markgamis.blogspot.com/2008/05/goodbye-hello.html

On May 15th, Hello, the picture sharing tool from Google. Which was part of the Picasa. It's barely 4 days to go before the servers of Hello are turned off, so for the next few days I'll be online on Hello and will probably be playing with the software a few more times before it goes away for good (paging anyone). If you want to try Hello, it can still be download at http:/ updates.picasa.com/hello/651/Hello651.exe. You have to have a Picasa account. Sunday, May 11, 2008. May 12, 2008 2:30 PM.

Random Walk: January 2009

http://gaeb.blogspot.com/2009_01_01_archive.html

Wednesday, January 28, 2009. 2009: For the past month, I've been jonesing for a miniature wargame. Minis are relatively expensive, but they count as both a toy and a game, so it's like, double good. For all its flaws, I loved Mageknight, and I wanted to find something that would scratch the same itch. It's good nostalgia. I'd put hours and hours into Mageknight. if Tesla didn't keep grabbing the DS to play this:. Tuesday, January 27, 2009. How I met my minis. Let me tell you about Mageknight. It all came...

Random Walk: November 2008

http://gaeb.blogspot.com/2008_11_01_archive.html

Sunday, November 30, 2008. King's Castle Siege is the largest set in Lego's current Castle lineup, with 973 bricks, divided into 7 parts. We got this off Amazon for 100 USD. The second section is the front gate. There's some playable features here: a drawbridge that you can lift using a lever and chains, and a portcullis that you can drop by pulling out its support. Note also the technic pins and holes at the bottom; this is how each part of the modular design attaches to each other. The fifth section is...

Random Walk: September 2008

http://gaeb.blogspot.com/2008_09_01_archive.html

Thursday, September 25, 2008. Just a week after Pat's birthday, Landes held their mid-year LEGO sale. We went to Libis to look for their warehouse/office, tucked away somewhere in Bagumbayan. Going in, my expectation was that maybe we could get a small discount on the stuff that was available in the malls. Exo-force is Lego's anime/mecha line, and at first glance it just looks like a random robot toy. I can confirm the Lego heritage though; see the mech in the above pic? Saturday, September 13, 2008.

Random Walk: April 2009

http://gaeb.blogspot.com/2009_04_01_archive.html

Wednesday, April 1, 2009. Pat and I are on Atkins. I've been avoiding sugar for two weeks now. Oh, and also rice, bread, potatoes, and other carbs. But really, I don't miss those starches as much as I miss delicious pastries and fruit shakes. First, the downsides. It's significantly more expensive. I'm eating more meat, but also more greens, and both are expensive compared to rice. It's also seriously depressing to go cold turkey on sweets, since normally I'm sugared up to the gills.

Random Walk: March 2008

http://gaeb.blogspot.com/2008_03_01_archive.html

Wednesday, March 26, 2008. I really like the X-Men. Fast Forward. I spent my weekends in Singapore browsing through the large selection of books at Kinokuniya. I discovered the Essential X-Men, classic issues reprinted phone-book style, thick, cheap, and black and white. Kinda like manga! Essential is a misnomer; each book reprints a solid run of issues, around 25 issues worth. Comprehensive would have been a better fit. Suits me fine, since I don't want to miss out on even the filler issues. Essential X...

Random Walk: August 2008

http://gaeb.blogspot.com/2008_08_01_archive.html

Sunday, August 31, 2008. S site while reading a local gaming forum. And I convinced Pat to check it out one sunday afternoon. It's a boardgame cafe! That means that it's a place where you can come in, sit down, and rent a boardgame for 40 Php/hour. Part of the service is having a GM give you a quick run through of the game rules. So The Mafiagang mailing list turned a year old last month, and still going strong. I've been ignoring my blog(s) for more than half a year. And really, I have to admit ...I gue...

Saturday, April 28, 2007. But it is important for people with a limited budget to select the computer system that offers them value for money. While purchasing a computer system, do not be swayed by all the unnecessary glitzy stuff offered by the marketers. Take the following points into consideration before buying one.
