Marshia Brown’s paintings of seascapes and landscapes are immediate in their lyricism, grace and elegance, and intuitive color sense. The distinctive style of her paintings reflects at once her awe of and intimacy with the natural drama of sea, sky and land that surrounds her home in Jonesport, a small fishing village in down east Maine. Marshia fell in love with the ocean when, at age 6, she and her mother moved from the high desert of Idaho. To Carmel, California. A small artist community on the Pacific.
