The Steampunk Affair: March 2014
http://thesteampunkaffair.blogspot.com/2014_03_01_archive.html
Steampunk is an expression that should be embraced daily! Tuesday, March 11, 2014. The number one feature in Steampunk has got to be gears! Those little guys are present in almost every Steampunk piece I see, especially in jewelry! The cool thing, is that they also come in so many varieties, you can put them anywhere. I busted open a few watches a while ago and got out tiny gears. From the store you can purchase larger craft gears and my friend and I took apart a clock to get even bigger gears. Anyway, I...

http://thesteampunkaffair.blogspot.com/2015_06_01_archive.html
Steampunk is an expression that should be embraced daily! Saturday, June 20, 2015. I've been busy, busy, busy lately getting ready for 2015 SLC Steamfest! This convention is so much fun, but mostly I enjoy seeing the various costumes and how creative people can get. This year, I have my arsenal of Steampunk items stocked and ready to wow! Some of my favorite items have to be my Phantom of the Opera masks! They would complete any costume and are easy to take off when needed. Subscribe to: Posts (Atom).

Steampunk is an expression that should be embraced daily! Wednesday, February 12, 2014. Steampunk on You Tube. As I get ready for the convention, I find myself day dreaming about the DIY (Do it yourself) projects that I can make not only for my costume, but as well to sell. The possibilities are literally endless because I am at square one. I don't actually have anything made yet, but I'm brainstorming. I can't wait to make my mini top hat, It's going to blow your mind! How to make your own top ha. As I'...

http://thesteampunkaffair.blogspot.com/2014_04_01_archive.html
Steampunk is an expression that should be embraced daily! Thursday, April 3, 2014. If you're like me, you love watching youtube tutorials to learn something new! The Steampunk Affair: July 2014
http://thesteampunkaffair.blogspot.com/2014_07_01_archive.html
Steampunk is an expression that should be embraced daily! Friday, July 11, 2014. Goo Goo for Goggles! I believe that a major staple to Steampunk fashion is goggles. I'm sure you agree. With Steamfest less that three weeks away, I decided my costume could use a bit more awesomeness to compliment all the other awesomeness that it's already made of. Thanks to a YouTube tutorial on how to paint with an aged look, all I needed to do was find some welding goggles. For a tutorial on the "Aged Look" click here.

The Steampunk Affair: December 2014
http://thesteampunkaffair.blogspot.com/2014_12_01_archive.html
Steampunk is an expression that should be embraced daily! Saturday, December 27, 2014. It's been a while since I've put anything fun on here, so I've got an awesome new project to show you guys. It all started when I was wandering around a thrift shop the other day when I saw this belt that screamed Steampunk. I just had to have it, but I knew that I wouldn't be using it for a belt, because part of it was pretty trashed. I measured the straps to fit mostly on the top of my wrist and chain to go below.

The Steampunk Affair: Steampunk Ha!!oween!
http://thesteampunkaffair.blogspot.com/2014/11/steampunk-haoween.html
Steampunk is an expression that should be embraced daily! Wednesday, November 5, 2014. This year for Halloween, I decided to go with a Disney Villain for my costume. That's right, I chose Ursula from the Little Mermaid. If you know me, you know that I love to make mini top hats! I jumped right on that idea, and began to piece together my costume. Me and my coworker, Tyson.poor unfortunate soul.). There was much touch and go and winging it. It's amazing what hot glue can do! I won two costume contests and...
