Mr O'Brien's 2009-10 White Pre-AP Calculus. Wednesday, May 5, 2010. Today we started with a warm up involving vectors. The first question was to find the component form, magnitude, and direction angle for vector AB and CD, with given points A(1,1) B(4,-1) C(-5,3) D(-2,1) . The component form of both the vectors was. And the magnitude was. So the two vectors AB and CD are equal. This means that two vectors with the same component form are equal to each other. Terminal Point - Initial Point. Problems 5 inv...

Mr. O'Brien's 2010-11 Period 3 AP Calculus: Hyperbolic Functions!
http://apcalcwhite1011.blogspot.com/2011/06/hyperbolic-functions.html
Mr O'Brien's 2010-11 Period 3 AP Calculus. Friday, June 3, 2011. A quick review - Hyperbolic functions are analogs of trigonometric functions. Cos(x) and sin(x) relate to points corresponding with unit circle, while cosh(x) and sinh(x) relate to points corresponding with the right half of the hyperbola. There are certain hyperbolic identities that seem fairly similar to trigonometric identities. Subscribe to: Post Comments (Atom). Email Mr. O'Brien. Derivatives with Polar Coordinates.
