Why sin(30) = 1/2. June 10, 2006 at 2:05 am ( geometry. In trigonometry, sometimes we require students to learn the special values of sine, cosine and tangent at 30, 45, 60 degrees, because these are nice values. But I wonder if these facts are explained or do teachers just say sin(30) = 1/2 , memorise this! Heres my explanation.(I am not sure if they teach this in schools, but Ill look up the textbook the next time I visit popular bookstore.). Show that sin(30) = Opp/ Hyp = 1/2. 2) Hence, CD= BD = BC.

June 5, 2006 at 1:46 pm ( College. The first thing one should notice is that the sum is neither an arithmetic progression nor a geometric progression, which are easily summable. There are two choices left, either use integral calculus or try to convert the series into a telescoping one. We do the latter via partial fractions to get. July 30, 2009 at 1:35 am. Math Excel | Excel in Math

Math Excel: Personal Attention. For many students, the transition from high school to college is difficult because students are put into large classes for the first time, and they’re expected to do much of the learning and study needed to master the courses on their own. The Math Excel program meets these challenges by giving Calculus students extra personal attention and equipping them with the study skills they need to succeed in college.
