Sunday, 11 March 2012. A catch up on this years flying. First is a pic from last year, i was driving up to Sourton and as i came out onto black down i thought, bloody hell the van sounds noisy. Then 2 choppers came up the valley from behind me! On thursday i popped up to cox tor, the sky was very dreary but there was lift everywhere and i had a very nice afternoon boating around. Wednesday, 27 April 2011. At long last the duck is broken! Not for lack of trying, the last couple of weeks have been a frustrating time, days that should have been good just failed to deliver, a missed opportunity because i didn't feel too well, and just plain old crap flying! Today, i was going to see what it looked like at dinner, but Sam gave me a nudge a bit earlier and i said yeah ok. We left Tavy around 1130, it was looking very gloomy and with no wind! Not only that but the sky looked good too!

Sunday, 31 January 2010. Sneaky one at cox tor. After doing my duties in the morning i was keeping an eye out of the window. Reports from Bex on cox tor seemed to be quite strong, so we took the kids up for a run around. I arrived to find 3 wings ground handling at the bottom. After a walk around with the kids i got my wing out and had a very pleasant half hour or so soaring. Saturday, 9 January 2010. The wind was very cold so we only managed 10 or so runs, good fun though! Wednesday, 6 January 2010.

Thursday, 28 April 2011. 2 days on the trot! A trip to king tor was the order of the day, Sam once again kindly did the driving. Conditions on take off were once again pretty strong, Martyn Foley was the first to take off, instantly dissapearing off over the back to princetown i believe. Most thermals were broken affairs, much fun was had with the Colins and chunky, i climbed out in one to about 1300, thought i could make it to the warren house inn, and got royally drilled into the hill behind take off!
