Olivia Saves the Day: April 2012
http://olivia-saves-the-day.blogspot.com/2012_04_01_archive.html
Tuesday, April 24, 2012. Some of my very favorite people :). This photo has nothing to do with the post, but I thought it was funny. This is from the back of my grandma's piano. The piano was moved away from the wall since the living room is going to be painted. I'm relived to know that the piano is built using tested scientific principles. Stayed tuned to find out what crafty project Mr. O and I are up to:. Subscribe to: Posts (Atom). Olivia Saves the Day. My Life and Hard Times. Wo fängt dein himmel an?

Ameriky: January 2010
http://ameriky.blogspot.com/2010_01_01_archive.html
My tour of the Continent. More art on the Berlin street. Sorry I haven't posted in a while. I've been thinking about the future of this blog, specifically about whether I should start integrating updates on current events in my life with reminiscences from the past, or post them somewhere else. While these considerations are meant to give you more regular word from me, they've temporarily stopped me cold. Subscribe to: Posts (Atom). View my complete profile.

Olivia Saves the Day: India Memories
http://olivia-saves-the-day.blogspot.com/2015/04/india-memories.html
Wednesday, April 15, 2015. I can't believe it's been 10 years this month since I returned from 4 weeks in India! I joined my maternal grandfather, G.S.G. Who was there doing family history research. His ancestral home was in the middle of a remodel, so we stayed with a family that's related through marriage in a village nearby. My job was to document photographically. Here are some highlights. Processing wheat. Or at least pretending to so I can photograph it. Yes, that is me! I still have that outfit.

Olivia Saves the Day: January 2013

Monday, January 28, 2013. All I Wanted for Christmas. My aunt invited me to spend Christmas Eve and Christmas day with her family. Since they live around the corner and I love to hang out with them, this seemed like the best idea. She said that they would make a stocking for me, and even get me presents. She asked what I wanted. I have a habit of asking for very practical. A sandwich-shaped case and dinosaur sandwich cutter. Subscribe to: Posts (Atom). Olivia Saves the Day. My Life and Hard Times.

Olivia Saves the Day: Dating Safety
http://olivia-saves-the-day.blogspot.com/2014/03/dating-safety.html
Sunday, March 16, 2014. My cousin was telling us about her dad's recommendation that she carry enough cash for a cab and a brick in her purse when she goes on a date, in case she needs an escape plan. We started brainstorming other options for self-defense and transportation:. A bag of coins, enough for your cab ride, might do more damage than the brick, then you're killing 2 birds with one stone! A bag of oranges- smoothy in a sock! Subscribe to: Post Comments (Atom). Olivia Saves the Day.

Tuesday, January 14, 2014. Ji and I are going to make episodes for a cooking show. I was experimenting today with taping, and although the camera angle didn't work, you mainly see my chest and Bapu's back while he's eating lunch, I had to share the transcript. Although maybe I'll pull just the audio at some point, as it's hard to convey the way that a 3 year-old says "What? Also, you have to imagine him making his two-face face the whole time, with one side of his mouth held in a grimace.

Olivia Saves the Day: October 2013

Monday, October 14, 2013. I forgot to buy some misc items this week, and so I started a new grocery list on the fridge. They are:. B came into the kitchen, and read them as one item: burnfree magnetic babywipes. She thought this was odd, but if there was such a thing, I would be the one to know about it. Think about it for a minute: babywipes that attract poop so that you don't have to wipe, and also don't burn your baby. What a wonderful product that would be! Subscribe to: Posts (Atom).

Olivia Saves the Day: Life with Children
http://olivia-saves-the-day.blogspot.com/2014/02/life-with-children.html
Thursday, February 13, 2014. Can you guess which pan of cookies I decorated with raisins and which one Ji decorated? In case you're wondering, it's Ji's professional opinion that the bottom right shape is a wolf, not a fox. Wolves have fluffy tails, too. The squiggliest shapes are from the pieces between the cookie cutters. I got lazy/creative. You can find the recipe here. Subscribe to: Post Comments (Atom). Olivia Saves the Day.
