Fair Chase Fanatics - Dan Block: September 2009
http://danblockblog.fairchasefanatics.com/2009_09_01_archive.html
Fair Chase Fanatics - Dan Block. Wednesday, September 9, 2009. Last night, I hit the water again. My buddy Mike asked me to come along with him and his brother-in-law Larry. I wanted to go, but I didn't want to go. Like earlier posts, I had some work around the house that I wanted to get done and I'd already planned my entire evening. So, we tried casting some Rapalas along the reef to see if we could pick one up. Again, nothing happened, so as the sun set on the horizon, we decided to set up to do s...

Fair Chase Fanatics - Dan Block: Walleye Fishing
http://danblockblog.fairchasefanatics.com/2009/09/walleye-fishing.html
Fair Chase Fanatics - Dan Block. Wednesday, September 2, 2009. After getting home, I kept watching the storms on radar as they got closer to us.and I just had a feeling that they would break up as they got close to the lake. I finally made the decision that I would give it a try. Again, I was off course and worked to get back along the reef.all while keeping my eyes to the west looking for signs of the next storm. It's amazing how fast an hour can go by. As I was loading the boat, it appeared to me that ...

Upon getting to work this morning, I found out that I made the wrong choice.the boys had a great night of walleye fishing. They caught 11 walleyes.all over 17".

Fair Chase Fanatics - Dan Block: 2009 Canada Fishing Trip
http://danblockblog.fairchasefanatics.com/2010/03/2009-canada-fishing-trip.html
Fair Chase Fanatics - Dan Block. Wednesday, August 26, 2009. 2009 Canada Fishing Trip. Two weeks ago, I returned from my annual fishing trip to Canada. It was a fantastic trip.the best year yet. The daily limit is 4 walleye per person, therefore, we do a lot of catch and release fishing. Typically, we keep walleyes right around 15 inches long for eating.and boy do we eat walleye. Every night we have walleye.either deep fried or grilled. Day 1 - 95 walleye, 2 northern; Day 2 - 207 walleye, 1 northern.

Fair Chase Fanatics - Dan Block. Tuesday, May 18, 2010. Seeing Double.Turkeys, That Is! It was opening day, April 19th. My dad and I were in my pop-up blind at my camp in the U.P. of Michigan and we were anxiously awaiting for some action.and boy, did we get it. The hen hung around in front of us for more than 30 minutes, continually calling. Suddenly, she abruptly began walking back toward the woods from where she came. We watched her disappear, but we could still hear her. View my complete profile.
