So far Matthew has notched up 17 years' experience working as an art director in Europe and the USA. He started off at Oxford Brookes University and Manchester Metropolitan studying cartography, computer science and graphic design. He then spent four years working as a cartographer, before joining Emap in 1996, where he worked on Garden Answers and later Bike magazine. Next came his first experience of running a design department as Art Editor of Fore!
