A story of my current life and what I get up to. Wednesday, November 7, 2012. Marathon Des Alpes-Maritimes, Nice – Cannes. Well, I guess its safe to say that I over estimated my fitness and under estimated the demands of a marathon. Although 26k was the furthest I’ve ever run, I felt strong through out and thought I was fit enough to manage another 16k. My captain found this funny and looked at me if I was mad, but I knew best. Leaving Rehab and Mum and Dad Arriving. 65279; I was discharged from rehab on 15th January 2011, exactly 5 weeks after my accident. On the drive home on of my careers couldn’t believe I had gone through Cavit in just over 4 weeks and told me that the average stay is around 3 months. 65279;. Our first picture togther. A story of my current life and what I get up to. Sunday, April 29, 2012. I wasn’t a fan of Malta, and its not somewhere I would chose to return to. To be honest, it never recovered from my first impression - run down. The buildings are weathered and dirty, the roads in a terrible condition, the air is dusty and polluted and a lot of the people are over weight/obese and dress horribly. From our shipyard in Malta, we sailed straight to the boat show in Genoa, and had just four days to transform the boat from her yard state to show ready. In the evenings, after the show, there was always something going on for crew. Different stands held events, and on the final Friday of the show, there was a crew party.
