Maureen's blog for recent kid pictures and ramblings. Saturday, October 23, 2010. Are full of soccer games. Chase is not the most aggressive player. Neither is anyone else on our team, so we are learning lots of defensive skills. As you can see by the photo, he is nowhere NEAR the ball. He is having fun though, so I suppose that's what counts. If you'll recall, the other lost teeth weren't so much lost, as pulled in a harrowing day-surgery experience. Notice proud "Poppa" in the background. What a good time! Anyway, in three days we did the zoo, the aquarium, the warf, the trolley car, and Alcatraz. The boys were troopers, and totally into everything. October 24, 2008. Another Gift from Kindergarten. Turns out the kindergarten teacher had to leave work today because she had pink eye! Looks like we've narrowed done the source. Things That Are Not Fun As An Adult. And Probably Weren't As a Kid Either. It is hard to believe that I have been pregnant for 85 days, 12 full weeks, and almost out of the first trimester. June 25, 2009. Happy Belated Dad's Day. He's changing so much, so fast. We've been very busy lately. I find that the more I do with him- going out, packing up, walking, visiting, etc the easier it all becomes. Still not "easy" but getting better! He had a taste of prune juice today which worked wonders.I'll spare all the details. I'm officially done with maternity leave and now am on summer vacation. November 11, 2008. I had an early Christmas yesterday! November 8, 2008. I am 100 days pregnant! I think maybe it is time to stop counting days. I've been counting the days and dividing by 7 to figure out my weeks but the math is getting more difficult than the first grade math I am accostumed to. So much has changed and I am so grateful for this new place that I am in. PS- Also, the itch is getting better (once again, grateful). November 5, 2008. Claritin in the morning. I am still itchy.

August 25, 2009. A Long Time Coming. Brendan started daycare this week and I haven't cried yet. He's done great! Miss Linda is wonderful and he seems to be adjusting quite well. It's been a big adjustment all around. Next week I'll be back to work and summer and maternity leave will be over. It has been an amazing summer.
