It is a joint project with the government and Velo Quebec which combines abandoned rail beds, towpaths, paved shoulders and paved pathways beside the roadway. Here in Quebec, we have had great breakfasts and we have stopped to eat lunch as a means of drying off, getting out of the rain and having a rest that did not include mosquitoes. The temperature in Montreal had been hot just before we arrived, but immediately dropped to 9 degrees and hasn’t been above 12 since! It has been so cold and windy.
