A Note that Follows So: Rough draft
http://laraloooo.blogspot.com/2009/03/rough-draft.html
A Note that Follows So. Saturday, March 14, 2009. Who does not like knowing that on the other end of some expenditure of energy, in my case cooking, is a net gain because they have tapped into a process that magnanimously incorporates their every move into a virtuous cycle? So this is what I'm thinking about as I prepare to write a paper about modern democracy. Food for thought. So glad you put finger to keyboard, and bum to chair, and gave us some more. So, I'm sick, aren't I. Just say it.

A Note that Follows So: Meet the 405th CA Batallion
http://laraloooo.blogspot.com/2008/09/meet-405th.html
A Note that Follows So. Sunday, September 21, 2008. Meet the 405th CA Batallion. This is the Army unit I'm in now. They got back from Afghanistan in July 2007, and we've been training for the return deployment next summer since about, oh, July 2007. Some of them are reenlisting. Awesome, awesome people. Ideologically it's unsettling that the military is executing so much of our nation's foreign affairs, but given that that is the situation right now. September 22, 2008 at 7:29 PM. A Note that Follows So: A very good place to start
http://laraloooo.blogspot.com/2008/09/very-good-place-to-start.html
A Note that Follows So. Tuesday, September 2, 2008. A very good place to start. When I was in seventh grade, I wrote a memory narrative about the house I grew up in. It made it into the literary publication at the end of the year, but my English teacher told me that though it was well-written, it lacked depth. I don't have it anymore, but it was something like this:. That year we watched Desert Storm on Channel One before first period. Anderson Cooper was one of the anchors. I think that was also...Some ...

Student Doctor Daddy: Palliative medicine
http://zickerzacher.blogspot.com/2011/02/palliative-medicine.html
Sunday, February 27, 2011. Palliative medicine is about providing comfort and increasing quality of life for people facing the end of their mortal existence. Doctors in the field routinely have some of the most difficult discussion that patients are confronted with: 'what do you hope to accomplish with your remaining time' 'how do you want to spend the time you have left? Do you want us to perform CPR in the event that your heart stops? I definitely don't see it that way. I see it as a dignified way ...

(Feels like I never left) I'm starting out the year with microbiology, which covers all of the nasty little viruses, bacteria, parasites which can cause us a lot of misery. I have been a little nervous about this part of my studies because I have to learn dozens of names like. Ebola Virus - Ever seen the movie 'Outbreak'? Not if you have a very rare defect with your immune system. Just do a goolge image search for Tree Man of Java.

http://zickerzacher.blogspot.com/2008_06_01_archive.html
Saturday, June 21, 2008. On Call part 2. The surgeon was a colorectal surgeon who had recently came to OSU. He was a great guy. He had been up since 2:00am that morning, started the colon resection at 9:30am and finished at 8:00 pm. Even after working so long, he was very nice to talk to. I asked him and the resident the question that has been burning in my mind: "Why colorectal surgery? Drawing lessons from an almost 3 year old. Sunday, June 15, 2008. Monday, June 9, 2008.
